Overview

As the Banquet Set Up Supervisor you will be an integral part of the team by excelling in consistently providing meeting products to the property’s clients, focusing on proper meeting set-ups, break downs, and configurations. As the supervisor, you will assist in the managing of the banquet set up team and ensure seemless event set up and break down.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise, schedule, and direct CSA staff assigned to banquets and events.

  • Oversee event setups, service execution, and breakdowns according to banquet event orders (BEOs).

  • Ensure all service staff are properly briefed on event details, service style, and guest expectations.

  • Maintain consistent communication with Banquet Captains and Event Managers throughout the event.

  • Participate in pre-event and post-event meetings to review operations and identify areas for improvement.
  • Greet event organizers and VIP guests, ensuring all needs are met promptly and professionally.

  • Anticipate guest requests and resolve any concerns during events with discretion and efficiency.

  • Monitor service quality and presentation, making adjustments as needed to enhance guest satisfaction.

  • Confirm event spaces are set according to diagrams and BEO requirements.

  • Ensure CSA staff adhere to timeline milestones for food and beverage service.

  • Coordinate with culinary and beverage teams to maintain smooth service flow.

  • Monitor inventory of banquet supplies and communicate needs to management.

Qualifications

    • 2+ years of banquet or event service experience in a luxury resort, hotel, or high-volume event venue.

    • 1+ year of leadership or supervisory experience preferred.

    • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

    • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

    • Ability to adapt quickly to changing event needs and last-minute adjustments.

    • Knowledge of banquet service styles (plated, buffet, reception) and wine/spirits service.

    • Flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

      • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to walk, talk, see, and hear. Must be capable of walking or standing 90% or more of a normal 8 hour work shift. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perceptions and the ability to adjust focus.

Wage Range: $16.50-18 plus gratuities
