Overview

As ARLO Server you will be responsible for providing exceptional, personalized service in a refined dining environment. This role requires expert knowledge of food, wine, and service etiquette to create memorable experiences for every guest. You will anticipate guest needs, execute precise service standards, and embody the professionalism and hospitality standards of the resort. Pay Rate $17.25 + gratuities #towncountrysd

Responsibilities

  • Provide attentive, gracious, and personalized service to all guests in a fine dining setting.

  • Present menus, answer questions, and make knowledgeable recommendations regarding menu items, wine pairings, and specialty cocktails.

  • Accurately take food and beverage orders, input into POS system, and ensure timely delivery of all items.

  • Maintain knowledge of daily specials, seasonal offerings, and chef-driven features.

  • Uphold elevated etiquette, including proper serving sequences, table maintenance, and polished presentation standards.

  • Partner with culinary and bar teams to ensure flawless guest experiences.

  • Maintain cleanliness, organization, and readiness of assigned sections.

  • Handle guest concerns and requests with professionalism and urgency, escalating issues when necessary.

  • Assist with side work, restocking, polishing glassware and silverware, and setting up service stations.

  • Ensure compliance with all food safety, sanitation, and responsible alcohol service guidelines.

Qualifications

  • Previous upscale dining server experience required.

  • Strong knowledge of wine, spirits, and upscale food service techniques.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Professional appearance and demeanor.

  • Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as business demands.

  • Food Handler and Responsible Beverage Service (RBS/TIPS) certification required (or ability to obtain upon hire).

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time (6+ hours).

  • Frequent lifting and carrying of food trays, glassware, and supplies (up to 25 lbs).

  • Occasional lifting of heavier banquet trays or wine cases (up to 50 lbs with assistance).

  • Ability to bend, reach, stoop, and move quickly in a fast-paced environment.

  • Manual dexterity for handling glassware, silverware, and wine service tools.

  • Ability to navigate dining room spaces efficiently and safely while carrying trays.

  • Clear vision and hearing to interact with guests and staff in varying environments.
