We are looking for a dedicated and passionate Golf Superintendent to oversee and elevate the quality of our 18-hole championship course. Position Summary:

The Golf Superintendent will be responsible for the overall maintenance, care, and enhancement of the golf course and surrounding landscapes. This individual will work closely with the Director of Golf and the resort management team to ensure the course remains in top condition, meeting and exceeding the expectations of our members and guests.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee all aspects of golf course maintenance, including turf management, irrigation, and pest control.
• Lead, manage, and mentor the groundskeeping team, fostering a culture of teamwork, safety, and continuous improvement.
• Develop and implement maintenance schedules and strategies to ensure optimal playing conditions.
• Monitor course conditions daily and adjust maintenance practices as needed to maintain high standards.
• Manage and maintain irrigation systems, ensuring proper water usage and sustainability practices.
• Collaborate with the Director of Golf and Resort Management to align course goals with overall resort objectives.
• Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations related to turf management and environmental stewardship.
• Oversee the purchasing and inventory of all equipment, fertilizers, and chemicals.
• Manage the golf course maintenance budget and expenses.
• Stay updated on the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices to continuously improve the course.

Qualifications: 

• Bachelor’s Degree in Turfgrass Management, Agronomy, Horticulture, or related field preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Golf Superintendent or Assistant Superintendent.
• Strong knowledge of agronomy, turfgrass management, irrigation systems, and pest control practices.
• Proven leadership experience with the ability to manage and motivate a team.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with budget management and cost control.
• Knowledge of local environmental regulations and sustainability practices.
• Certification by the Golf Course Superintendents Association of America (GCSAA) is preferred.
• Passion for golf and maintaining championship-level playing conditions.
