Job Summary:

The Complex Security / Loss Prevention Supervisor supports the Director of Security in ensuring the safety, security, and compliance of both Black Desert Resort and Red Mountain Resort. This hands-on leadership position oversees daily security operations, coordinates team schedules, trains officers, and responds to emergency incidents and guest service situations. The role involves strong knowledge of resort security protocols, a high level of professionalism, and an ability to lead a team across multiple properties.

  • Onsite: Black Desert Resort and Red Mountain Resort
  • Shift & Schedule Availability: Year-Round / Full-Time
  • Pay Rate: $23.50 - $25.00/hour. This is the pay range we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise day-to-day security operations at both resort locations
  • Train, coach, and oversee security officers, ensuring proper response protocols are followed
  • Coordinate and execute safety drills, emergency preparedness efforts, and evacuation procedures
  • Respond to and document incidents including guest/employee injuries, property damage, disturbances, theft, or suspicious activity
  • Enforce safety protocols, including visitor and contractor access, key control, and restricted area compliance
  • Patrol public areas, guest room floors, and back-of-house spaces to maintain a visible and reassuring presence
  • Collaborate with departments including Front Office, Engineering, HR, and Housekeeping to support guest and team member needs
  • Conduct investigations and interviews related to property loss, security violations, or workplace incidents
  • Monitor surveillance systems and access control technologies
  • Maintain accurate incident logs, shift reports, and follow-up records
  • Serve as acting lead in the absence of the Director of Security / Loss Prevention
  • Assist in maintaining compliance with OSHA, local, state, and federal safety regulations
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • 3–5 years of experience in security, loss prevention, or safety operations; resort/hotel experience preferred
  • Prior supervisory experience in a safety-sensitive environment required
  • Knowledge of incident command systems and emergency response protocols
  • Strong communication, leadership, and conflict-resolution skills
  • Familiarity with surveillance software, radio communication, and report writing
  • CPR, AED, and First Aid certification required or ability to obtain within 60 days
  • Valid Utah driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
  • Ability to maintain discretion and confidentiality in all situations
  • Basic computer proficiency with Microsoft Office and incident reporting systems
