Overview

As Housekeeping Supervisor you will oversee daily operations within the housekeeping department to ensure that guest rooms, corridors, and public areas meet the resort’s high standards for cleanliness, comfort, and presentation. This role includes inspecting rooms, coaching and supervising room attendants, and maintaining operational efficiency. Supervisors are expected to handle approximately 12-15 inspected rooms per shift and support the team in delivering a seamless guest experience. you’ll play a pivotal role in upholding the standards that make our guests’ stays exceptional. Responsibilities

  • Conduct daily inspections of guest rooms worked by room attendants (approximately 12-15 rooms per supervisor) to ensure they meet resort standards for cleanliness, presentation, and safety.

  • Coach, mentor, and provide ongoing feedback to room attendants on cleaning techniques, staging, and handling of amenities.

  • Manage and assign room attendant schedules, workloads, and rotation to ensure fair distribution and efficiency.

  • Monitor inventory of housekeeping supplies, linens, amenities; report shortages; work with purchasing to maintain adequate stock.

  • Maintain communication with Front Desk, Engineering, and Management to report maintenance issues, guest requests, or repair needs encountered during inspections.

  • Ensure public areas (corridors, stairwells, lounges) and back-of-house housekeeping areas are clean, organized, and presentable at all times.

  • Train staff on safety, proper use of cleaning chemicals, equipment, and resort property protocols.

  • Support deep cleaning, turn-down service, special projects, and room readiness during high occupancy.

  • Monitor performance metrics (room inspection scores, turnaround times, guest feedback), and partner with leadership to drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in housekeeping or janitorial supervision in a hotel or resort setting, preferably with full-service operations.

  • Strong attention to detail and high standards of cleanliness and presentation.

  • Good communication and leadership skills; ability to motivate and maintain morale among housekeeping staff.

  • Organizational skills to manage multiple tasks, schedules, and priorities.

  • Basic computer skills and ability to use housekeeping management systems or PMS to log inspections and reports.

  • Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and extended or split shifts as room bookings and occupancy dictate.


Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to inspect up to 12-15 guest rooms per shift, which often involves walking, standing, bending, kneeling, and climbing stairs.

  • Frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling of carts, linen bags, and cleaning equipment (up to 40-50 lbs).

  • Ability to move between multiple areas of the resort property, including guest rooms, corridors, laundry, storage, and public spaces.

  • Ability to work indoors and outdoors, in varied temperature conditions.

  • Must be able to work on feet for majority of the shift (6-8+ hours), moving frequently between tasks.
