The Front Office team provides a seamless and professional guest experience, with the Night Auditor playing a critical role in ensuring both overnight guest service and accurate financial balancing of the resort’s daily operations.

 

Job Summary:

 

The Night Auditor at Red Mountain Resort is responsible for overseeing the front desk during overnight hours, delivering excellent guest service, and ensuring the accurate reconciliation of the resort’s daily financial transactions. This role combines front office duties such as check-ins, check-outs, and guest assistance with administrative responsibilities including balancing accounts, generating reports, and preparing the resort for the next day’s operations.

Shift & Schedule Availability: Year-Round / Full-Time
Pay Rate: $16 – $18/hour. This is the pay range we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.

Responsibilities

  • Provide professional guest service during overnight hours, including check-ins, check-outs, and responding to guest inquiries.
  • Reconcile the day’s financial transactions by balancing accounts, verifying charges, and ensuring accuracy across all departments.
  • Post room, tax, and incidental charges to guest accounts; investigate and correct discrepancies.
  • Prepare and distribute end-of-day and next-day reports for management, accounting, and department heads.
  • Monitor the property during overnight hours, ensuring safety, security, and cleanliness in public areas.
  • Assist with reservations, room assignments, and modifications as required.
  • Act as primary point of contact for guest concerns during overnight shifts, escalating issues appropriately.
  • Support preparation for morning arrivals and group check-ins by reviewing reservations and guest requests.
  • Complete front desk administrative tasks, filing, and report distribution as assigned.
  • Coordinate with Security, Housekeeping, and other departments to ensure seamless guest service.
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Minimum 1–2 years of front desk or hospitality experience preferred.
  • Familiarity with property management systems (PMS) and reservation platforms.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and comfortable generating reports.
  • Excellent communication and guest service skills with a polished and professional demeanor.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Flexible availability, specifically for overnight shifts, weekends, and holidays.
