Overview

This is a floor leader position that assists in the daily operations of the Restaurant, Bar Service, Pool, and In Room Dining to ensure optimum performance, exceptional guest service, and maximum profitability. You will train and motivate staff to provide amazing guest experiences.

Responsibilities

  • Ensures welcoming physical atmosphere and cleanliness of the department, including inspecting tabletops, countertops, and side stations.
  • Communicate information to the service team giving them the knowledge to be individually empowered.
  • Handle guest concerns professionally, resolving issues with empathy and urgency
  • Utilize the Freedom to Go Beyond to resolve guest issues promptly and with great care.
  • Enjoy multi-tasking at a fast pace while having an impeccable eye for detail to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
  • Supervise the performance, attendance, attitude, appearance, and conduct of the service team.
  • Assist with the development, training, and inspiration of outlet staff.
  • Lead pre-shift meetings to communicate goals, menu changes, and service priorities

  • Monitor team performance and provide on-the-spot feedback and support

  • Assist with onboarding and cross-training of new staff

  • Oversee opening and closing duties, ensuring checklist completion

  • Assist with inventory control, ordering, and restocking

  • Support scheduling and labor management in coordination with the manager

  • Ensure accurate cash handling, POS procedures, and daily reconciliation

Qualifications

  • Knowledge.  Alcohol service and Food Handler certifications are required.  Familiarity of restaurant terminology and food service techniques is preferred.
  • Flexibility. This is a demanding business, and we look for flexibility with workdays and hours, but it is also a lot of fun!
  • Experience. Previous experience and enthusiasm for being part of a diverse team of passionate people and providing authentic experiences and distinctively different services to others in a team-oriented food and beverage environment.
  • People Person. The best part of this job is creating and building lasting relationships with our guests and team members.
  • Great communicator. The ability to communicate effectively in English both verbally and through excellent written communication.

Working Environment/Physical Demands:

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by a team member to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. 

  • While performing the duties of this job, the team member is regularly required to walk and stand, 6-8 hours per day, and may have exposure to basic cleaning supply chemicals.
  • The team member is occasionally required to climb and use balance. Additionally, they will frequently be asked to use their hands and arms to reach, carry, pull, and lift up to 25 lbs.  Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and peripheral vision. 
  • The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those a team member encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the team member will experience temperature fluctuations (rain, wind, heat, humidity), and moderate to high noise levels.
