Job Summary:

 

The Barback – Flo Lobby Lounge – Full Time is responsible for supporting the bartending and service teams by maintaining a clean, organized, and well-stocked bar environment. This role ensures efficient bar operations by replenishing supplies, polishing glassware, assisting with setup and breakdown, and delivering exceptional behind-the-scenes support. The Barback contributes to the overall guest experience by ensuring bartenders can focus on providing world-class service. As an on-call position, the Barback provides flexible support during peak service hours, private events, and high-volume resort periods.

Shift & Schedule Availability: Year Round / Full Time (Evenings, Weekends, Holidays)
Pay Rate: $14.00/hr plus tips. This is the pay rate we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.

Responsibilities

  • Assist bartenders by restocking liquor, wine, beer, ice, glassware, fruit, garnishes, and other bar supplies throughout service.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of all bar stations, prep areas, and storage spaces during and after shifts.
  • Polish and rotate glassware, ensuring each piece meets resort presentation and sanitation standards.
  • Prepare and replenish bar ingredients, mixers, and garnishes before and during service.
  • Support bar setup and breakdown, including moving kegs, bar equipment, and stocking back-of-house supplies.
  • Ensure accurate inventory counts for alcohol, mixers, and bar consumables; communicate shortages to management promptly.
  • Assist with trash removal, recycling, and proper disposal of empty bottles and waste materials.
  • Clean bar tools, sinks, mats, and equipment following closing procedures and sanitation protocols.
  • Support bartenders in the preparation and delivery of beverages during high-volume periods.
  • Maintain knowledge of lounge menu items and cocktail ingredients to provide support to team members.
  • Follow all safety and hygiene standards, including Utah DABS and health department regulations.
  • Assist with setup and support for special events, VIP receptions, and private functions as assigned.
  • Work collaboratively with the bar, lounge, and culinary teams to ensure smooth and efficient service.
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a bar, restaurant, or hospitality support role preferred; luxury or resort experience is a plus.
  • Knowledge of bar operations, beverage products, and inventory procedures desirable.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask in fast-paced environments.
  • Excellent teamwork, communication, and time-management abilities.
  • Ability to lift, carry, and move heavy items safely and efficiently.
  • Basic understanding of responsible alcohol handling and Utah DABS regulations.
  • Food Handler’s Permit and Alcohol Server Permit required (or ability to obtain upon hire).
  • Positive attitude, reliability, and professional appearance required.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events as needed.
