Overview

As the Executive Meeting Manager you will be responsible for generating and managing group business for meetings and events up to 75 peak nights, not to exceed 200 total room nights. You will focus on prospecting new leads, qualifying opportunities, building long-term client relationships, and converting business to achieve revenue goals. As the ideal candidate you will thrive in a fast-paced environment, demonstrates a proactive sales approach, and delivers exceptional service from initial inquiry through contract turnover. Responsibilities

  • Prospect and Qualify Leads: Actively identify and pursue new small group business through research, outbound calls, networking, tradeshows, and partnerships.
  • Develop and Manage Accounts: Build and maintain relationships with corporate, association, and social clients to maximize repeat and referral business.
  • Create and Present Proposals: Develop customized proposals and presentations that align with client needs and resort capabilities.
  • Conduct Site Inspections: Plan and execute professional site visits that effectively showcase the resort’s meeting spaces, guest accommodations, and amenities.
  • Negotiate and Close Sales: Manage the contracting process, ensuring terms align with resort standards and client expectations.
  • Contract Turnover: Facilitate a smooth transition of confirmed business to the Event Services team, ensuring clear communication of all details and client preferences.
  • Achieve Sales Goals: Consistently meet or exceed individual and departmental revenue targets and performance metrics.
  • Market Collaboration: Work closely with marketing and revenue management to identify target markets and develop strategies to increase group demand.
  • Database Management: Maintain accurate records in CRM systems, ensuring all client interactions and activities are documented.
  • Represent the Resort: Attend industry events, networking functions, and site visits to enhance visibility and promote the resort’s meeting capabilities.

Qualifications

  • Minimum three (3) years of hotel or resort sales experience, with a focus on group, meetings, or catering segments.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales goals and developing new business.
  • Strong knowledge of hotel sales systems (e.g., Delphi FDC, Salesforce, or similar).
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • High level of professionalism and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Flexible schedule with occasional travel, evenings, and weekends as needed.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business, or related field preferred.
