Responsibilities

• Ensures welcoming physical atmosphere and cleanliness of the F&B department, including inspecting tabletops, countertops, and side stations.
• Self-starter that enjoys multi-tasking while having an impeccable eye for detail to ensure accuracy and efficiency in all job-related functions.
• Leads opening and closing duties. Ensured daily checklist completion.
• Assist with inventory control, ordering, and restocking.
• Ensure accurate cash handling, POS procedures, and daily reconciliation.
• Monitor product quality and guest satisfaction in food and beverage operations and services, ensuring food/beverage quality is consistent, appealing, and prepared to guest specifications.
• Ensure F&B services comply with sanitation and safety standards.
• Interact with guests to obtain feedback on quality of service and food/beverage provided.
• Perform job function in accordance with established brand & hotel standards and consistent with CTH core values.
• Handle guest concerns professionally, resolving issues with empathy and urgency.
• Assist with maintaining proper par levels and inventories of food and beverage supplies including glassware, silverware, paper goods, garnishes, etc.
• Ensure the hotel abides by all state, federal and brand requirements pertaining to serving alcoholic beverages.
• Ensure all equipment is in working order; report malfunctions and follow up on repairs.
• Follow all safety guidelines and practice safe work habits.
• Perform other duties as requested by management.

Qualifications

  • Knowledge. Alcohol service and Food Handler certifications are required. Familiarity of restaurant terminology and food service techniques. TIPS certified.
  • Flexibility. This is a demanding business, and we look for flexibility with workdays and hours, but it is also a lot of fun!
  • Previous experience and enthusiasm for hotel operations. Passionate about people and providing authentic genuine service.
    • Minimum two years of experience in supervisory role in a restaurant setting, coupled with food service background required as a server/bartender.
    • Knowledge of bar service and liquor inventory controls required.
    • Experience with Micro’s point of sales system strongly preferred.
  • People Person. The best part of this job is creating and building lasting relationships with our guests and team members.
  • Great communicator. The ability to communicate effectively in English both verbally and through excellent written communication.
