Job Summary
The Houseman is responsible for maintaining cleanliness, order, and overall appearance in public areas, guest rooms (as needed), and back-of-house spaces. This position supports the housekeeping and maintenance teams by ensuring all assigned areas are clean, safe, and well-stocked to provide guests and residents with a comfortable environment.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
· Public Area Cleaning: Clean and maintain lobbies, hallways, restrooms, elevators, and other public spaces.
· Guest Room Support: Assist room attendants by removing linens, trash, and replenishing supplies.
· Setup & Maintenance: Set up meeting rooms, event spaces, and furniture as required. Report maintenance issues promptly.
· Laundry Duties: Collect, transport, and distribute linens and towels between rooms and laundry areas.
· Supply Management: Restock housekeeping carts, storage rooms, and supply closets.
· Safety & Compliance: Follow all health and safety regulations, using proper cleaning chemicals and equipment safely.
· Guest Interaction: Provide courteous assistance when approached by guests, ensuring a positive experience.
· Team Collaboration: Support other departments (front desk, maintenance, events) as needed.
· Smile and greet every guest especially when they’re in proximity.
· Provide quick and efficient service.
· Remember guest names and use them often in interactions.
· Offer assistance and provide options to guests.
· Emphasize creating a positive guest experience and building lasting connections by thanking guests and inviting them back.
Requirements
· High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
· Prior housekeeping, janitorial, or maintenance experience a plus.
· Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
· Strong attention to detail and time management skills.

The hourly wage of this position is $20.00.
