Job Summary:

 

The Night Auditor at Black Desert Resort serves as the overnight representative of the Front Office team, responsible for balancing resort transactions, ensuring financial accuracy, and providing exceptional guest service during nighttime hours. This position also assists with bell services during late-night or early-morning periods, ensuring seamless guest arrivals and departures. The role requires strong attention to detail, sound judgment, and the ability to work independently while maintaining the safety, security, and operational flow of the resort.

 

Job Specifications:

 

Onsite: Black Desert Resort – Ivins, Utah
Shift & Schedule Availability: Part-Time / Overnight / Year-Round
Pay Rate: $17 -18/hour. This is the pay rate we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors including experience and performance.

Responsibilities

  • Perform nightly balancing of all resort accounts, ensuring financial accuracy and integrity.
  • Reconcile guest folios, verify postings, and prepare end-of-day audit reports.
  • Manage guest check-ins, check-outs, and overnight inquiries with professionalism and care.
  • Assist with bell services as needed, including greeting guests, handling luggage, delivering items to rooms, and coordinating transportation requests.
  • Maintain a professional presence in the lobby, ensuring security and assistance for late arrivals or early departures.
  • Monitor and resolve discrepancies in financial postings, payments, and room charges.
  • Prepare, print, and distribute audit summaries and financial documentation for department leaders.
  • Ensure public areas and the lobby remain clean, orderly, and guest-ready for morning operations.
  • Communicate effectively with other departments to support seamless overnight operations.
  • Respond to guest emergencies or safety concerns according to established procedures.
  • Complete administrative and clerical duties for the Front Office and Accounting teams as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Previous hotel or resort experience in front desk, night audit, or bell services preferred.
  • Proficiency with hotel property management systems (Opera or similar) strongly preferred.
  • Strong numerical, analytical, and organizational skills with attention to accuracy.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills, with the ability to handle sensitive situations.
  • Ability to work independently and maintain composure under pressure.
  • Flexible schedule availability, including weekends, holidays, and event periods.
