Job Overview:

 

Food & Beverage Department Administrator is essential for supporting the administrative and operational functions of our busy Food & Beverage department. The position requires strong administrative skills, a keen attention to detail, and a passion for the hospitality industry, particularly in food and beverage services.

 

Job Specifications:

 

Onsite: Black Desert Resort
Shift & Schedule Availability: Year-Round / Full-Time
Pay Range: $18.50 – $21/hr. This is the pay range we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.

Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support to the Food & Beverage management team, including document preparation, data entry, and correspondence management.
  • Coordinate and schedule meetings, take minutes, and follow up on action items.
  • Assist in managing the department's budget, including tracking expenses, processing invoices, and preparing financial reports.
  • Handle reservations and inquiries for our dining venues, ensuring a smooth and efficient booking process.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of inventory, supplier contracts, and staff schedules.
  • Assist in the coordination of special events and catering services.
  • Liaise with other departments to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
  • Handle customer queries and complaints, providing prompt and professional resolutions.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of departmental policies and procedures.
  • Audit & monitor utilization of labor management systems to ensure proper use in scheduling, labor management, and overtime tracking.
  • Monitor and collaborate with General Managers in review response for our collection of restaurants.
  • Assist with external messaging of events to the broader resort and VIP guests that frequent our facilities
  • Perform other administrative tasks as required to support the Food & Beverage department.

Qualifications

  • Associate's or Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Hospitality Management, or a related field.
  • Previous administrative experience, preferably in a hospitality or food and beverage setting.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with hospitality management software.
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
  • Commitment to providing high-quality support to a dynamic F&B team.
