Overview

We have a great opportunity at Outbound Mammoth and are looking for someone who is passionate about creating a welcoming and enjoyable experience for guests.  This role will be a dual role meaning there will be opportunity to be our Barista and also cross train to Host in our restaurant -  Bar Sierra. This role’s primary job will be that of our Barista, executing the art of crafting high-quality coffee and beverages but will also be cross trained to be scheduled as needed; when there is a need for a Host in Bar Sierra with the responsibility of greeting and seating guests.

 

The ideal candidate is personable, detail-oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced environment while delivering exceptional customer service and is an integral member of the team that creates distinctively different and authentic experiences for our guests. You will be responsible for greeting and seating guests, overseeing dining room maintenance, and monitoring service to ensure guest satisfaction.

Responsibilities

Primary role Barista Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and serve coffee, espresso drinks, teas, and other beverages to company standards.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the coffee station and equipment.
  • Manage inventory of coffee supplies and assist with restocking as needed.
  • Ensure quality and consistency in beverage preparation.

Host Responsibilities (cross trained/when needed):

  • Greeting guests warmly upon arrival and managing seating arrangements.
  • Maintain an accurate waitlist and communicate estimated wait times.
  • Assist with reservations and coordinate with servers to ensure smooth service flow.
  • Provide menus and answer initial questions about offerings.
  • Uphold health and safety standards in all areas.
  • Deliver friendly, efficient service and resolve guest inquiries promptly.
  • Support team members during peak periods to ensure seamless operations.

Warmly greet guests in the lobby and in the restaurant. Proactively support the F&B team while monitoring guest activity. Collaborate with team members to communicate any special needs or guest requests. Utilize the freedom to go beyond and take initiative to resolve guest complaints and create loyalty. Enjoy multi-tasking at a fast pace while maintaining an organized host stand or work area. Sincerely thank guests leaving the restaurant and invite them to return.

 

Flexibility. This is a demanding business, and we look for flexibility with workdays and hours, but it’s also a lot of fun! Experience. Previous experience passionately providing service to others preferred. Knowledge. Familiarity of restaurant terminology and food service techniques preferred. People Person. The best part of serving others is creating experiences for them that go beyond the expected. Great communicator. Providing amazing experiences requires the ability to communicate fluently in English both verbally and through legible writing. A qualified applicant is a “people person” who is flexible with their schedule, loves to serve others, and knows how to multi-task while ensuring accuracy.

Qualifications

  • Hospitality experience in hotel or restaurant a plus
  • Previous experience as a Barista a plus
