Overview

The Breakfast Attendant is responsible for greeting, and serving guests in a safe, efficient, and welcoming manner while being in compliance with policies and procedures, brand standards, and federal, state and local regulations. In this position you will plan, prep, set up, and provide quality service in all areas of food production.

Responsibilities

  • Sets up breakfast area before guests begin to arrive; displays the food and beverages in an organized and attractive manner according to brand standards/requirements.
  • Efficiently replenishes buffet with food, beverages and/or supplies as needed.
  • Maintains cleanliness of buffet area throughout the morning by reorganizing and tidying food area as necessary.
  • Properly disposes of used plates, utensils, napkins and/or cups as necessary.
  • Responsible for assisting to maintain inventory stocked.
  • Responds quickly to guest requests in a friendly manner; follows up to ensure guest satisfaction.
  • Works efficiently and effectively to gather, wash, cut, season, cook, and store quality ingredients.
  • Prepare basic food items in kitchen and handle all production tasks in a timely manner.
  • Supports the kitchen team with prep lists and tasks. 
  • Assist the kitchen supervisor in maintaining order and managing special projects.
  • Good working knowledge of kitchen systems and good knife skills are a must.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area adhering to food safety and health standards.
  • Handles and cleans kitchen equipment carefully and safely to prevent damage or injury.
  • Maintains regular attendance, is consistently on time, and observes work, break and meal periods standards.
  • Maintains high standards of personal appearance and grooming.
  • Performs any other duties as requested by supervisor.

Qualifications

  • High school or equivalent education.
  • One or more years of food and beverage related experience required.
  • Strong attention to detail, and ability to work well independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent customer service focus and communication skills.
  • Ability to interpret/extract information and/or perform arithmetic functions.
  • Ability to work under pressure and take initiative in a fast paced environment.
  • Food Handlers certification is required.
