Hotel Polaris is seeking an exceptional Director of Marketing Communications to join our team and play a vital role in shaping the success of Hotel Polaris, an instant icon on the hospitality landscape of Colorado Springs. Your efforts significantly influence the unique and distinctive experiences we seek to deliver to our guests and team members alike. Responsibilities

  • Oversee marketing and communication strategy and ensure execution.
  • Work closely with the DOSM, Group Sales managers, F&B outlets, Spa, and Flight Simulators to drive topline revenues through strategy and recommendations.
  • Work in close contact with the general public in sales and marketing situations that require strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Work closely with various partner agencies to include public relations, digital marketing, and traditional media agencies.
  • Develop and execute brand calendars and plans as well as the campaign creative progress and timeline management.
  • Responsible for the accuracy of all information on website, collateral and advertising that promotes Hotel Polaris.
  • Provide content creation for brand presentations and communications.
  • Manage approvals of brand level creative content.
  • Direct social media programs (Facebook and Instagram) including content calendars influencer programming and creation as well as business account management.
  • Manage collection wide partner relationships (TripAdvisor, single platform, Yelp, etc.).
  • Use Brand marketing/promotional opportunities to drive revenue.
  • Use website analytics to determine advertising ROI and insights into opportunities to create additional revenue.
  • Collect and analyze competitive intelligence (e.g., marketing programs/campaigns) to assist in the enhancement and development of current and future marketing strategy.
  • Direct the creation and management of all Hotel Polaris marketing materials, collateral development and advertising including review of design creative and copy.
  • Create lead generation programs for meetings & events for the Sales team.
  • Assist DOSM in preparation of Sales and Marketing expense budgets.
  • Assist DOSM in the creation of annual Business Plan and Marketing Plan.
  • Support Sales team with appropriate collateral and marketing materials.
  • Responsible for managing and implementing appropriate marketing mix to ensure attainment of overall marketing costs.
  • Track campaign benchmarks and KPIs to ensure success and optimize campaigns as needed.
  • Stay on top of industry trends to ensure properties are at the cutting-edge of hospitality services.
  • Additional marketing tasks as needed.

Qualifications

  • Five + years of marketing work experience; in hospitality preferred.
  • Knowledge of the operations of the hotel industry.
  • Highly developed customer service skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Proficient knowledge of print and digital production, social media marketing, and digital marketing including SEO, PPC and Remarketing and Public Relations.
  • Understanding fundamentals of both B2B and B2C marketing.
  • High degree of organization, attention to details and level of professional conduct. Self-starter, ambitious and multi-tasker.
  • Requires excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, additional language ability is a plus, however, not required.
  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and various other graphic design programs.
  • Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Creative and graphic skills, desirable.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule including night, weekends and holidays.

Salary range: $90,000 - $100,000/yr. (+ bonus)
