CoralTree is seeking a Director of Finance to join our team at the Lake Nona Wave Hotel.  As the Director of Finance, you'll provide daily management of the accounting, purchasing, payroll processing and technology departments. You will assist with the preparation of accurate and timely financial reporting, including cash flow, and routinely provide financial support and analysis to leadership across the property. In addition, this position will be responsible for reconciling and maintaining the integrity of the general ledger, presenting financial information to owners, and partnering with the General Manager of each assigned property on the property’s long-term financial strategy. This position is based on-site in Orlando, Florida.

• Direct and assume responsibility for proper execution of all Wave accounting practices, maintenance of accurate financial records, the timely preparation of financial reports, account reconciliations, payroll processing and reporting, internal controls, purchasing, accounts payable, accounts receivable, assigned tax reporting and other assigned areas.
• Assist in nurturing the important relationship with the Property owners. Be responsible for supervising and coordinating reporting as required. Provide timely, concise monthly reporting for the Property, custom reports as requested, respond quickly to questions or requests and participate in Partner and other appropriate meetings.
• As a strategic partner, provide recommendations for capital planning, perform ROI analysis and participate in long-term strategic planning to improve margins.
• Complete the annual internal audit and year-end external audit process. Review and approve all reconciliations and audit work papers timely. Coordinate internal and external auditor’s visits, respond to auditor requests, approve any and all adjustments, reconcile the audit numbers to the property numbers and approve the final audit.
• Responsible for debt financing support including covenant reporting, lender relations and refinancing support as needed.  Review historical and projected cashflows. Take required actions to ensure cashflow is appropriately managed. Communicate to the responsible Property Operations executive, Regional VP of Finance and others, including owners, as necessary.
• Supervise and participate in the preparation and review of all monthly and annual financial statements and account reconciliations. Investigate, review and analyze the variance explanations, and involve the department managers in this process. Ensure all narratives are well written and explain why the variance occurred.
• Interpret operating results as they affect the financial aspects of the Property, making specific recommendations that will result in cost reductions, profit improvement and benefit to the Property overall.  Assist and counsel all department heads in the interpretation of financial data and recommend courses of action to maximize profitability.
• Lead a robust team of ~10 individuals in the departments of accounting and finance, purchasing, payroll processing and technology.  Be a cultural leader and mentor, and keep a pulse on external talent.  Recruit, train and develop team members with a focus on growing skills, process improvements and efficiency including succession planning and cross training.  Ensure SOPs are maintained for all key functions. 
• Organize and drive the annual budgeting process.  Monitor and assist in preparing the property budget, capital budget, development budget and business plan. Ensure accuracy and completion of the budget on or before the due date. Aid in the preparation and final review of the annual business plan.  Ensure internal and external deadlines are met.
• Check appropriation requests against approved budgets prior to committing funds; exercise accounting control to ensure that budgeted expenditures do not exceed authorized levels.
• Ensure hotels’ compliance on regulatory licenses and permits, leases, contracts and proper execution of operational tax obligations.
• Timely communicate status update, issues or concerns to property GMs and RVP of Finance to ensure awareness and request assistance as needed.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting (MBA or advanced degree and CPA preferred).
• 5+ years Hospitality Experience leading a finance team with oversight of multiple areas including food & beverage, golf and event space. 
• Solution-oriented leader with previous supervisory experience required.
• Systems expertise (ERP, BI tools, Point of Sale, Property Management Systems, ProfitSword)
• Experience and confidence presenting to ownership and internal leaders.
• Experience with labor management and capital projects.
