Overview

Are you the kind of sales pro who can turn a coffee meeting into a citywide convention? Do you have SoCal planners on speed dial and a suitcase that’s basically your second home? Excellent. We’ve saved you a corner office (and a prime spot on the leaderboard).

Our iconic 671-room convention resort is on the hunt for a National Sales Manager who knows how to think locally, sell nationally, and close like it’s the final scene of a heist movie (minus the crime, plus the RevPAR).

If your idea of fun is a signed contract, a strong pickup report, and a planner texting “You’re my favorite,” we should talk. Apply now. Bring your book of business. We’ll bring the ballroom. Salary range $85,000-$95,000 #towncountrySD

What You’ll Actually Do (Besides Be Amazing)

  • Build and execute a Local-to-National strategy that turns SoCal relationships into multi-city, multi-year, high-value group business

  • Own the full sales cycle: prospect → pitch → negotiate → celebrate → repeat

  • Drive group pace and maximize RevPAR like it’s a competitive sport

  • Analyze STR reports and market data to out-smart the comp set

  • Partner with marketing, revenue, and operations to deliver experiences that make planners say, “Let’s rebook for next year”

  • Represent the resort at industry events, client sites, and anywhere good business (or good tacos) can be found

What Success Looks Like

  • High-value group contracts signed, sealed, and revenue-generating

  • A balanced, future-focused group pace

  • Repeat clients who ask for you by name

  • Comp set wondering what you know that they don’t

Why You’ll Love It Here

  • A convention resort big enough to make your numbers meaningful

  • A market that actually produces business (you’re welcome)

  • A team that celebrates wins loudly and supports losses quietly

  • The chance to sell a product planners genuinely want

Qualifications

Your Secret Weapons

  • 3–5 years of group sales success in a full-service hotel or resort (you know your way around a convention diagram and a closing dinner)

  • A real, active book of business across San Diego, Orange County, Los Angeles, and/or San Francisco

  • Deep knowledge of SoCal demand generators—corporate HQs, associations, and the planners who actually make decisions

  • Negotiation skills that would make a procurement manager nervous (in a respectful, professional way)

  • Fluency in Delphi.fdc, Salesforce, Amadeus, Cvent, and the fine art of turning data into deals

  • The ability to read an STR report without blinking

Perks & Fine Print

Competitive base + incentive plan, benefits, travel opportunities, and the professional satisfaction of watching your definite bookings roll in while others are still “circling back.”
