Overview

The Seaport Hotel is seeking a skilled and service‑focused Plumber to join our Engineering team. In this role, you will inspect, maintain, and repair plumbing systems throughout the hotel to ensure a safe, comfortable, and seamless experience for our guests and team members. Your expertise and professionalism will directly impact guest satisfaction and the smooth operation of the property.

 

Responsibilities

What You’ll Do

  • Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems, fixtures, piping, valves, and equipment.
  • Review plans/specs and determine materials and layouts.
  • Troubleshoot and repair water heaters, conditioners, pumps, and water treatment equipment.
  • Maintain storm, sanitary, and water piping systems.
  • Test systems for leaks and ensure all work meets code.
  • Respond to work orders and emergency calls promptly.
  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance; maintain clean and safe work areas.
  • Manage inventory and vendor repairs.
  • Follow all safety procedures, including Lockout/Tagout.
  • Represent the hotel professionally and support sustainability practices.

What You Bring

  • Strong plumbing troubleshooting and repair skills.
  • Knowledge of Massachusetts Plumbing Code.
  • Ability to read plumbing schematics and blueprints.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

 

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of plumbing repair experience required
  • Plumbing License preferred (experience considered)
  • Valid driver’s license preferred
  • High school diploma/GED required
  • Trade school training or relevant certifications preferred

Schedule

  • 24/7 hotel operation—availability for weekends, holidays, overtime, and on‑call emergencies as needed.
