Overview

Sunriver Resort is hiring a seasonal Backyard Café Supervisor to help drive an upbeat, welcoming experience in our popular outdoor dining venue. The Outlet Supervisor is responsible for providing leadership and guidance to the designated Food & Beverage Outlet team. They will work with the team to ensure guest satisfaction and optimum performance. The Outlet Supervisor will assist in maintaining the AAA Four Diamond Standards.

 

 

The Outlet Supervisor will always conduct themselves in a manner which supports the Core Values of Sunriver Resort: Trust, Open & Honest Communication, and Commitment. He/She/They shall strive to deliver exceptional service to all internal and external guests at all times. In this role, they are responsible for exemplifying the Sunriver Resort Culture and actively supporting our Vision and Mission to be the destination of choice for our guests, owners, and associates.

Responsibilities

  • Maintains a commitment to customer service and guest satisfaction
  • Leads and Supervises the Café team
  • Ensures supplies are properly stocked; assists with ordering supplies as necessary
  • Assists with coordinating inventory control
  • Utilizes labor management tools to schedule and control labor costs
  • Assists manager with new hire and termination paperwork
  • Participates in staff meetings and agenda
  • Attends mandatory monthly department meetings and appropriate resort and division meetings
  • Reports any needed repair immediately to Maintenance using correct procedures
  • Ensures proper bookkeeping and resort policies are followed
  • Responsible for daily reports and manager log book entries
  • Performs cafe staff duties as necessary
  • Maintains a safe and pleasant work environment
  • Assists the of Restaurants with preparing and monitoring budget of expenditures and projected incomes
  • Works with the Lodge F&B Administrative Assistant to Monitor associate time punches in UKG
  • Instills a calm, organized approach in all stressful situations
  • Works with the Director of Restaurants and Lodge F&B Senior Leader to recruit and hire café staff
  • Ensures service standards are being applied by all team members
  • Ensures cleanliness and safety of the outlet
  • Promotes high associate morale
  • Recommends discipline and/or termination when appropriate
  • Assists with the coaching and counseling of team
  • Assists with completing performance reviews
  • Responsible for the achievement of department goals and objectives
  • Conducts continual training
  • Resolves guest issues promptly and with great care and effectiveness

Qualifications

EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • At least one year Food & Beverage experience required
  • At least one year of customer service experience required
  • At least one year of supervisory experience preferred
  • Prior hospitality experience preferred
  • Two or four year degree in hospitality related field preferred
  • At least six months POS system experience preferred
  • Prior cash handling experience required

JOB REQUIRMENTS:

  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Must have valid driver’s license and meet resort driving standards
  • Must possess valid OLCC card upon hire
  • Must possess valid Food Handler’s card upon hire
  • Must have excellent computer skills
  • Must have strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs
  • Must have excellent leadership skills
  • Must be able to work in a fast paced environment
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule that may include evenings, weekends and holidays

WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • Must be able to stand and walk throughout the shift
  • Must be able to occasionally lift and carry up to 25 lbs at shoulder height and push/pull up to 75 lbs
  • Must be able to perform simple grasping, fine manipulation, and repetitive hand & arm movements frequently; squeezing and overhead reaching occasionally
