Hourly Pay Rate: $31.50

Responsibilities

The Painter/Engineer prepares, repairs, and paints the exterior and interior areas of the property with a focus on safety. The role will be required to professionally assist with maintenance calls to diagnose a/c issues, plumbing concerns, internet connections, and repairs to light fixtures. The Painter/Engineer will be the one bringing life to walls, ceilings, and common areas. From prepping surfaces to adding the final touches, the Painter's work will make a difference in how people see and feel about our property. 

Qualifications

  • A valid Hawaii driver’s license and acceptable driving record is required
  • A minimum of 2-4yrs experience in painting techniques, surface preparation, and finishing methods
  • Experience in the hospitality industry is ideal
  • Ability to effectively prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, scraping, and priming to ensure optimal paint adhesion
  • Must have knowledge of proper use of tools regularly available in the painting/staining and maintenance industry
  • Good attention to detail and color matching skills
  • Capable of successfully utilizing the work-order system
  • Effective verbal communication skills required
  • Comfortable with guest interactions and addressing concerns
  • Ability to work well with team members
  • Strong proactive problem-solving skills
  • Must work with minimal supervision
  • Able to walk, stand, and work at various heights throughout duration of shift
  • Flexibility for scheduling needs
