Overview

The Caldera Springs Pool & Recreation Lead oversees daily operations at the Quarry Pool & Fitness Center, Forest House Pool & Fitness Center, and Outpost Recreation activities. They rotate locations daily, covering for Recreation Supervisors on their days off. Responsibilities include ensuring guest safety and comfort, managing recreation amenities, maintaining cleanliness and equipment, providing breaks, and directing attendant workflow. They also oversee the Pool & Recreation Team’s performance and assigned duties.

Responsibilities

Specific to the Quarry Pool and Fitness Center

  • Assist in evaluation and overseeing the performance of Pool Team and Lifeguards.
  • Give breaks to lifeguards and act as lifeguard on duty at times.
  • Cover all duties for guest and owner arrival at the Quarry Pool and Fitness
  • Responsible for job assignments, employee duties and performance of all Pool and Recreation associates and any other assigned associates.
  • Conduct daily inspections of the building and pool area for cleanliness and safety; along with action taken to correct deficiencies or recommendations for corrective action; follow through with the immediate resolution of any safety hazard and ensure proper documentation of any incident or accident.
  • Maintains laundry inventory levels for the Quarry Pool and Fitness

Specific to The Outpost

  • Assist in evaluation and overseeing the performance of Recreation
  • Maintain active knowledge of physical condition, usage and procedures of all recreation equipment including, but not limited to: bikes, canoes, kayaks, stand-up paddle boards, golf club rentals and walking golf carts.
  • Assist guests with rental of all equipment in a safe and knowledgeable manor including, but no limited to: bikes, canoes, kayaks, stand-up paddle boards, golf club rentals, and walking golf carts.
  • Maintain standards of safety, organization and cleanliness of all recreation equipment
  • Assist with Recreation Check-in duties at The Outpost including creation and processing Golf tee times, retail transaction, cash handling, answering phones, and assisting guests with questions about amenities and activity requests.
  • Helps maintain Outpost retail inventory levels and standards of
  • Checking out recreation equipment through the concierge desk by maintaining proper paperwork and checking IDs for amenity availability.
  • Maintain working knowledge of guest/owner status and applicable amenities to help better education all guests and owners in a professional manor.

Specific to the Forest House

  • Assist in evaluation and overseeing the performance of all Pool and Fitness Attendants and Lifeguards
  • Give breaks to lifeguards and act as lifeguard on duty at times.
  • Cover all duties for guest and owner arrival at the Forest House
  • Assist coverage of Piney’s Plunge Waterslide
  • Responsible for job assignments, employee duties and performance of all Pool and Gym associates and any other assigned associates.
  • Conduct daily inspections of the building and pool area for cleanliness and safety; along with action taken to correct deficiencies or recommendations for corrective action; follow through with the immediate resolution of any safety hazard and ensure proper documentation of any incident or accident.
  • Maintains laundry inventory levels for the Forest House

Qualifications

  • Experienced in working with varied ages
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Effective communication skills
  • Ability to organize large groups of people effectively and safely
  • Cashier experiences
  • Physical ability to meet the demands of the position including lifting of heavy objects
  • Must be willing to work flexible hours and
  • Preferred current first aid and CPR
  • Must have a current Driver's License
  • Must be willing to work weekends
  • Must be willing to be Red Cross Certified as a Lifeguard (Sunriver Resort pays for certification)
