Overview

At ARLO, San Diego’s signature restaurant at Town and Country Resort, every plate tells a story — one crafted with creativity, warmth, and precision. As we build a team striving toward Michelin-level recognition, we’re seeking a Part-Time Server who shares our passion for genuine hospitality, elevated service, and memorable dining moments.

 

In this role, you’ll bring an engaging presence and polished professionalism to each table, offering attentive, knowledgeable service in a dynamic, high-volume environment. Our ideal candidate combines a love of food and wine with an intuitive understanding of what transforms a meal into an experience.

Evening shifts are available. Pay Rate: $17.75

Responsibilities

  • Welcome with warmth and professionalism, setting the stage for an unforgettable dining experience from the very first greeting.

  • Present menus with confidence and enthusiasm, highlighting daily specials and offering insightful food and beverage recommendations that delight and inspire.

  • Take and enter orders with precision, ensuring each course and cocktail reaches the table seamlessly and on time.

  • Deliver every dish to perfection, upholding ARLO and Town and Country Resort’s standards for presentation, portion, and temperature.

  • Anticipate and exceed guest needs, responding promptly and gracefully to every request while handling any concerns with poise and professionalism.

  • Keep your section immaculate, maintaining polished tables, organized service stations, and a vibrant, welcoming atmosphere.

  • Handle all payments with accuracy and care, ensuring smooth, trustworthy transactions from start to finish.

  • Collaborate with your team and kitchen experts, supporting flawless service flow through strong communication and teamwork.

  • Follow all health, safety, and sanitation standards, reflecting ARLO’s commitment to excellence in every detail.

Qualifications

What We’re Looking For

  • Seasoned service professionals with 2–3 years of restaurant, hotel, or hospitality experience — ideally from upscale or high-volume environments where every detail matters.

  • A passionate food and beverage enthusiast who knows the menu inside and out and loves to share thoughtful pairing suggestions that elevate the dining experience.

  • A confident communicator and gracious host who connects effortlessly with guests, bringing approachability and polish to every interaction.

  • A calm under-pressure multitasker who thrives in the energy of a bustling dining room and keeps service as flawless as the plating.

  • A flexible team player available evenings, weekends, and holidays — ready to shine when the restaurant is at its busiest.

Physical Requirements & Work Environment

  • Ready to stay on your feet and in motion — standing and walking for extended periods during service.

  • Comfortable lifting up to 50 pounds and performing frequent bending, reaching, and carrying with ease.
