Responsibilities

  • Proactively identify, solicit, and secure group business opportunities across deployed market segments
  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships through regular communication, site visits, and personalized service.
  • Prepare and present tailored proposals and contracts that align with client needs and hotel revenue goals.
  • Collaborate with internal departments (catering/conference services, operations, accounting) to ensure seamless execution of group events.
  • Maintain accurate records of sales activities, client interactions, and pipeline updates in the CRM system.
  • Monitor market trends and competitor activity to identify new business opportunities.
  • Represent Magnolia St. Louis at trade shows, networking events, and industry functions.
  • Provide regular sales performance updates and insights to the Director of Sales.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of hotel group or event sales experience (full-service preferred)
  • A proven closer with a track record of achieving or exceeding sales goals
  • Strong communicator who builds trust quickly with clients and colleagues
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience with CRM systems and hotel sales platforms (Marriott CI/TY a plus)
  • Open to candidates looking to grow into the St. Louis market or relocate for the right opportunity

 Requirements

  • Proactively generate and close group business across key market segments
  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships that drive repeat and referral business
  • Collaborate with Revenue Management and Operations to strategically price and position business
  • Represent the hotel at industry events, client meetings, and networking opportunities
  • Manage your pipeline effectively through CRM systems and sales tools
  • Contribute to a positive, high-performing sales culture

Physical Requirements

Communication & Perception: Regularly required to communicate verbally, hear, and visually perceive information.

Prolonged Sitting: Ability to sit for 90% or more of an 8-hour work shift.

Lifting & Movement: Capable of lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling up to 25 lbs.

Visual Acuity: Possess various visual abilities, including close, distance, peripheral, and depth perception, as well as the ability to adjust focus.

Technological Use: Proficiency in using a computer and answering phones.

Work Environment: Work is performed in a typically low-noise, indoor office environment.

Schedule: Ability to shift schedule based on the needs of the hotel and customer. This position may require some travel on occasion
