Overview

The successful candidate will play a critical role in optimizing revenue and pricing strategies across CoralTree Hospitality’s collection of hotels and resorts to maximize revenue and profitability. The position will be responsible for leading the field revenue directors, driving strategy, participating in weekly revenue meetings, contributing thought leadership, and regularly providing support to the property Commercial, Ops, and Finance teams. This role will be key in assisting these teams in executing successful yield strategies tailored to the unique dynamics and market trends across the country.

Responsibilities

Revenue Strategy and Property Performance [60%]

  • Partner with the property DORS in the development and execution of a strategic, demand-based pricing philosophy for all room categories.
  • Formulate and execute pricing strategies that align with the company's overall business objectives.
  • Understand hotel and resort competitive market and defined comp sets, the relevance to each property based on market segments, location, price point, and positioning.
  • Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer behavior to identify revenue growth opportunities.
  • Utilize data analytics and forecasting tools to make informed pricing decisions.
  • Monitor and adjust pricing based on demand fluctuations, seasonality, and market dynamics.
  • Conduct regular pricing reviews to ensure competitiveness and profitability.
  • Responsible for ensuring that effective strategies are in place and being adhered to by the revenue management team.
  • Responsible for driving the right execution of property strategies when needed.
  • Attend revenue strategy meetings and lead meetings as needed.
  • Work closely with the Senior Vice President of Revenue and each property discipline lead to identify potential opportunities that may adversely affect revenue generation.
  • Ensure local property revenue team is working together in a cohesive and collaborative way to ensure optimal results.
  • Ensure properties are maintaining and maximizing the value of RM support systems such as Ideas, Demand 360, Synxis CRS, Brand Optimization, etc.
  • Additional responsibilities include monthly Fairshare Forecast reporting, Travelclick portfolio-level roll-up reporting (D360, A360), management of BudgeTools forecasting, and Microsoft Teams management.

Leadership and Development [25%]

  • Coaching, developing, and training revenue leaders in the field with a focus on performance, culture, and regional market dynamics.
  • Foster a performance-driven culture by managing the development and career progression of revenue leaders across the team, ensuring a pipeline of talent for future leadership roles.
  • Provide constructive feedback and guidance for the implementation of procedures and program initiatives that support revenue generation, helping properties meet and exceed their revenue goals.
  • Work closely with the Home Office Commercial team to proactively identify and communicate potential opportunities or risks that may impact revenue generation, tailoring recommendations to address regional market shifts and challenges.
  • Ensure consistent communication and collaboration across the team to drive a unified approach to commercial strategy, leveraging data and insights to improve performance and optimize profitability.

Technology [10%]

  • Be the expert in how all the business intelligence and revenue related systems work together including connectivity and data flow.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies in revenue management.
  • Evaluate and implement revenue management systems and tools for enhanced efficiency.
  • Train and educate team members on new technologies and best practices.

Business Development [5%]

  • Cultivate strong and transparent relationships with rental boards, homeowners and hotel owners.
  • Provide regular updates on revenue performance, market trends, and strategies.
  • Act as a liaison with owners to address concerns and align strategies.

Other Responsibilities [ad hoc]

  • Industry Participation
    • Industry representation of CoralTree Hospitality in national or international groups like HSMAI, AH&LA, etc.
    • Become a known industry expert and resource.
  • Stakeholder engagement and external partnerships
    • Identify and cultivate new external business partnerships and opportunities for growth, focusing on key industry players, vendors, and strategic partners.
    • Establish relationships with local tourism boards, event organizers, and corporate clients to drive business to CoralTree properties.

Qualifications

  • Must have a minimum of 15 years of revenue management related experience in the hotel industry.
  • Can learn new systems quickly.
  • Experienced in managing people.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills required.
  • Willing and able to change with the dynamic needs of the changing company and industry.
  • Thrives in a highly dynamic and faced paced environment.
  • Can multi-task and prioritize multiple projects.
  • Can roll up sleeves and handle details and fly at a higher strategic level.
  • Can manage across various levels of management.

  • Estimated 30% - 40% travel is required

Salary range: $175,000 - $200,000/yr. + bonus

 

Location: CoralTree Home Office in Englewood, CO
