Overview

The Food and Beverage Supervisor is actively engaged in all the aspects of the daily operation of: Aura Restaurant. Tamo, Tamo Terrace, The loft, In Room Dining, the Hospitality Suites and the Bakery Café. Effectively partners with their culinary counterpart to provide our guests with a memorable dining experience. Is passionate about providing exceptional guest service and provides an exciting, energetic, fun, and professional place to work. Models our core values based on the belief that our team members should engage in being attentive, thoughtful, and act independently in a responsible manner.  This position requires a high profile in all the food and beverage outlets.  The position reports to the Manager of Food & Beverage Operations.

 

Schedule Requirements

The position includes morning and afternoon/evening shifts with regular weekend attendance. Holidays are scheduled as business requires.

 

Due to the cyclical nature of hospitality, flexibility is required to meet business needs. Participation in “all hands” events may be necessary.

 

The hotel operates 24/7, including holidays. The company strives to support work-life balance.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise activities in all outlets, Aura Restaurant. Tamo, Tamo Terrace, the Loft, In Room Dining, the Hospitality Suites and the Bakery Café, to ensure guest satisfaction
  • Address guest requests and concerns
  • Understand team member’s roles, responsibilities, and performance expectations
  • Effectively trains, develops and provides feedback to the team together with the Food and Beverage Management, maximizing productivity and ensuring compliance with the service standards
  • Work closely with team members in a coaching role to maintain strong team environment, placing emphasis on team members’ development and satisfaction
  • Assist in identifying and implementing successful marketing programs for the outlets, thus achieving positive financial reports
  • Ensures compliance with department SOPs (Health and Safety, OSHA, food quality, service standards etc.)
  • Optimize staffing levels depending on business volumes
  • Complete administrative tasks/reports/projects as required
  • Completes any duties or projects assigned by the Management

Qualifications

  • In addition to the performance of the essential functions, this position may be required to perform a combination of supportive functions, with the percentage of time performing each function to be solely determined by the Executive Housekeeper based upon the requirements of the hotel.
  • Maintain regular attendance in compliance with hotel standards.
  • Adhere to hotel rules and regulations for safe and efficient operations.

Qualifications

 

Experience:

  • Hospitality experience preferred.
  • Experience working with diverse cultures and backgrounds preferred.
  • Minimum one year experience in a high-volume restaurant
  • Minimum one year experience in a 4-star hotel.
  • A proven track record and passion for developing people to reach goals and achieve financial results.

Education:

  • High School diploma, general education degree or international equivalent preferred.

Language Skills:

  • Fluency of the English language is strongly preferred.
  • Ability to understand and compose instructions, memos, and short correspondence.
