Overview

Are you ready to help shape the future of travel and hospitality in the Pacific Northwest? CoralTree is seeking an Area Managing Director to oversee our RiverPlace Hotel, Amaterra Winery, Amaterra Kitchen + Social Club and Amaterra Suites. A collection that spans across Oregon into the Portland and Bend regions. As the Area Managing Director, you will oversee all aspects of a hotel operation and renovation, additional luxury assets from a functioning winery and social club to a new build of luxury guest suites. You will lead the collection's executive committee, drive operational excellence and set the tone for an integrated hospitality experience that consistently delivers distinctive and memorable service. Responsibilities

  • Champion the portfolio’s operational excellence and financial performance, driving revenue growth and profitability in alignment with the annual business plan and commitment to deliver exceptional owner returns.
  • The Area Managing Director will oversee multiple owner assets including a hotel, kitchen + social club, a winery and new build of luxury guest suites.
  • Lead the strategic marketing and positioning efforts for the portfolio, implementing innovative, property-specific campaigns that effectively differentiate each location within its competitive landscape.
  • Develop and execute strategic and tactical plans across multiple properties to achieve business objectives, deliver accurate forecasting, and ensure agile, data-informed adjustments to protect profitability.
  • Champion exceptional guest and team member experiences across all properties, continuously elevating service standards and maintaining CoralTree Hospitality’s commitment to authentic and memorable hospitality.
  • Serve as the brand ambassador for the collection, cultivating strong relationships with community leaders, regional partners, and national stakeholders.
  • Ensure that each property operates with the highest standards of safety, security, and compliance by implementing consistent policies and procedures that prioritize the well-being of guests and team members.
  • Demonstrate integrity and inspire trust with all stakeholders—including property owners, community partners, asset managers, and team members—by modeling the highest ethical standards and transparent communication.
  • Attract, develop, and retain top talent across the region by fostering an environment of continuous learning, growth, and internal mobility.
  • Lead and support organizational change across properties by embracing continuous improvement, empowering property leaders, and promoting a proactive approach to innovation.

Qualifications

  • At least 15 years of hotel operations experience in an executive leadership role.
  • Degree in Business Administration, Hotel & Restaurant Management, or similar, preferred.
  • Luxury Hotel Opening/Renovation Experience Preferred. 
  • Experience with project management
  • Robust background in luxury hospitality
  • Proven Leadership of luxury F&B operations; including restaurants, bars, banquets & catering, and in-room dining. 
  • Driving exceptional guest experiences alongside strong financial performance.
  • Experience with an independent group and resort destination property, required
  • Managing Director level experience in PNW market, preferred
  • Experience managing third party Food & Beverage operator, preferred
  • Excellent communication skills, verbal and written, with demonstrated ability to build rapport and trust with guests and team members
  • Strong financial acumen and computer skills

Salary range: $265,000 - $285,000/yr. + 35% bonus potential
