We currently have an opportunity for a Dock Attendant to join our Pier Sixty-Six Resort team!
Lifting/Carrying: Ability to regularly lift and carry items weighing up to approximately 50 pounds, including supplies, equipment, luggage, watercraft-related items, and other materials.
Pushing/Pulling: Ability to push and pull carts, hoses, dock equipment, lines, and other marina equipment.
Bending/Reaching: Ability to frequently bend, stoop, crouch, kneel, reach, and stretch when handling equipment, securing vessels, or performing dock duties.
Climbing: Ability to safely climb and descend ladders, gangways, ramps, stairs, and vessel access points as required.
Balance/Coordination: Ability to maintain balance and coordination while working on docks, gangways, and other potentially uneven, wet, or moving surfaces.
Waterfront Environment: Ability to work safely in proximity to water and around boats, docks, ropes, cleats, hoses, and other marina equipment.
Mobility: Ability to move quickly and safely around the marina and respond to changing conditions, including assisting with vessel arrivals and departures.
Manual Dexterity: Ability to securely handle dock lines, hoses, cleaning equipment, tools, and other equipment.
Visual Requirements: Ability to maintain sufficient visual acuity to safely navigate the dock, identify hazards, read signage, and monitor vessels and equipment.
Hearing: Ability to hear and respond to verbal instructions, radio communications, alarms, vessel signals, and emergency notifications.
Weather Exposure: Ability to work outdoors for extended periods in heat, humidity, direct sunlight, rain, wind, and other varying weather conditions.
Physical Stamina: Ability to maintain physical activity and alertness throughout extended shifts in a busy marina environment.
Emergency Response: Ability to respond appropriately to emergencies and follow established marina, water-safety, and property emergency procedures.
Schedule: Ability to work flexible schedules, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays, and extended shifts, based on operational needs.
