Position Summary:
The Busser is responsible for the organization & cleanliness of the dining room & patio.  The busser contributes to ensuring a pleasant dining experience by cleaning and setting tables, restocking plates, or (at times) assisting with serving food.

 

Wage rate: $16.35 per hour

Responsibilities

 

• A warm personality, attentive, and presentable.
• Committed to delivering high levels of customer service.
• Responds courteously and efficiently to queries and problems from guests, and all staff.
• Proactively supports the restaurant team by keeping the server stations/ dining room area stocked and clean at all times.  
• Ensure dining room & patio cleanliness by wiping down tables, chairs and any other surface area. Also keep the area swept and mopped (as needed). 
• Pre-bussing guest tables once guest is done with a plate.   
• Delivering food orders to restaurant tables by table/seat number as well as guest rooms in a timely manner.   
• Communicating with staff and management before leaving their job post.    
• Ensuring dining room & patio area is clear of trash/dirty dishes.   
• Helping servers polish and roll silverware.   
• Assisting servers in preparing tables for large parties. 
• Proactively support the servers while monitoring cleanliness.
• Restock supplies before & after each shift.
• Collaborate with team members to communicate any special needs or guest requests.    
• Utilize the freedom to go beyond and take initiative to resolve guest complaints and create loyalty.
• Ensure that all food items are properly garnished and presented before delivery  
• Perform other duties as assigned by management  

Qualifications

• Ability to work under pressure.
• Excellent organizational and prioritization skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.
• Must be mature, pleasant, courteous, cooperative and an enthusiastic team player who displays good human relations’ skills.
• Must be able to read, write and speak English 
• Possesses valid Food Handler’s card  
• Accurately follow instructions, both verbally and written 
• Be highly detail orientated 
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment  
• Have an upbeat and welcoming personality
