The Everline Resort and Spa (ERS) has multiple lines of business including but not limited to Resort Operations, Property Management, HOA management and Property Development. The Staff Accountant is responsible for creating bills and invoices, collecting and presenting backup support for billing, and reconciling accounts receivable and payable related to shared entities and business partnerships. During the course of the month, the staff accountant will also generate statements, process payments, and prepare 1099’s for our rental program owners. Customer Service:
· Respond to inquiries from our owners, guests, clients and vendor.
Billing & Shared Entity Accounting:
· Create and issue bills and invoices for shared entities and business partners
· Collect, organize, and present backup support for bills and invoices
· Reconcile accounts receivable and accounts payable related to shared entities and business partnerships
· Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies with shared entities
· Prepare and post journal entries
· Communicate with internal departments and business partners regarding billing questions and account balances
Rental Program / Property Management:
· Record and process owner payments
· Provide shared service and amenity backup and documentation to HOA
· Issue owner statements
· Respond to the owners inquiries in a timely manner
· Prepare and distribute annual 1099’s to rental program owners
· Follow-up and resolve past due accounts
· Complete period-end closing procedures and reports
· Maintain a strong working knowledge of property management and accounting systems.
Education and/or Experience
· High School graduate or general education degree (GED)
· College level accounting classes is preferred
· Accounting degree a plus
· Hospitality experience a plus
· Two years of accounting or related field experience.
