This role is about more than security. It requires sound judgment, attention to detail, professionalism, and the ability to respond calmly to a variety of situations in a busy, 24-hour resort environment.

Safety and Security
Patrol resort grounds, guest areas, meeting spaces, parking areas, and back-of-house locations to promote a safe environment.
Monitor surveillance systems and access points, identifying and reporting suspicious activity or potential security concerns.
Respond promptly to emergencies, alarms, disturbances, and requests for assistance.
Conduct safety checks and report hazards, suspicious conditions, and security vulnerabilities.
Assist with emergency evacuations, medical incidents, fire alarms, and other emergency procedures.
Loss Prevention and Investigations
Help protect resort assets, equipment, supplies, and guest and Team Member property from loss, damage, or theft.
Document incidents, accidents, and security concerns accurately and objectively.
Assist with internal investigations involving missing property, theft, policy violations, and other reported concerns.
Preserve relevant information, including surveillance footage and witness statements, in accordance with resort procedures.
Maintain confidentiality and share sensitive information only with authorized individuals.
Guest and Team Member Support
Provide a visible, approachable security presence throughout the resort.
Assist guests and Team Members with safety concerns, directions, and requests for assistance.
Respond professionally to disputes and disruptive behavior, using de-escalation techniques whenever possible.
Enforce resort policies consistently, respectfully, and without unnecessary confrontation.
Work closely with Front Office, Housekeeping, Engineering, Food and Beverage, and resort leadership.
Communication and Documentation
Prepare detailed incident reports before the end of the shift or as otherwise directed.
Communicate important security issues and ongoing concerns during shift changes.
Maintain accurate records of lost and found property, key control, access issues, and other assigned security functions.
Follow established procedures for evidence handling, incident escalation, and emergency response.
Previous experience in security, loss prevention, hospitality, or a related field preferred.
Strong observation, communication, and problem-solving skills.
The ability to remain calm, professional, and objective during challenging situations.
Good judgment and the ability to recognize when to respond independently and when to contact a supervisor or emergency services.
Comfort using computers, radios, surveillance systems, and incident-reporting software.
A commitment to protecting confidential information and treating everyone with respect.
Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including evenings, overnight shifts, weekends, and holidays.
Ability to walk and patrol the resort for extended periods.
Ability to stand, climb stairs, and navigate indoor and outdoor areas, including parking lots and event spaces.
Ability to respond promptly to incidents and assist with emergency procedures.
Ability to lift and carry equipment or other items as reasonably required for the position, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Must meet applicable California requirements for the position, including any required security guard registration and training.
A valid California driver's license may be required if driving is an assigned responsibility.
Must successfully complete applicable pre-employment requirements.
