Overview

LAMUSE d’OR offers a French coastal dining experience at Kaiya Beach Resort in Inlet Beach, Florida. We are seeking attentive, dependable Server Assistants to join our opening team and help deliver a welcoming, polished dining experience.

As a Server Assistant, you will support the service team through water service, beverage delivery, table preparation, clearing, and resetting. You will anticipate what each table needs and work closely with Servers and Food Runners to keep service organized and responsive.

Responsibilities

  • Greet newly seated guests promptly, ask their water preference, serve water, and maintain water service throughout the meal.
  • Communicate new arrivals and guest requests to the assigned Server, helping ensure guests are acknowledged when the Server is occupied.
  • Collect and deliver beverages accurately using trays and correct table and seat positions; communicate delays and service needs to the Server.
  • Once trained, support wine top-ups following the Server’s initial bottle service, checking with guests before pouring.
  • Prepare each table for upcoming courses with the correct cutlery and service items, coordinating readiness with the Server.
  • Assist with coordinated food delivery and clearing under the Server’s direction, working closely with Food Runners and the kitchen team.
  • Keep tables clean and organized, replace dirty or dropped napkins promptly, and help maintain guest comfort throughout the meal.
  • Notice low drinks, unfinished service tasks, and guest concerns; communicate promptly and seek help when needed.
  • Reset tables carefully between parties and restock glassware, cutlery, linens, trays, and other service supplies.
  • Complete assigned opening and closing duties, maintain clean service areas, and participate in pre-opening training and daily briefings.

What You Bring

  • Restaurant, hotel, or hospitality experience is preferred; a willingness to learn and a strong service mindset are essential.
  • Attention to detail, a sense of urgency, and the ability to prioritize tasks while maintaining composure.
  • Clear communication and a willingness to support teammates across the dining room.
  • Careful handling of trays, glassware, and service equipment, with readiness to learn menu and beverage details.
  • Reliability, professional presentation, and pride in maintaining clean, well-prepared tables and service areas.

Qualifications

  • Prior experience as a server assistant, server, food runner, or in a similar hospitality role preferred; candidates with strong service aptitude and a willingness to train will be considered.
  • Ability to learn and consistently apply fine dining table standards, including correct place settings, polished glassware and cutlery, linen presentation, and complete table resets.
  • Ability to carry and use service trays safely, identify table and seat numbers, and assist with coordinated delivery and clearing without interrupting guests.
  • Understanding of attentive, unobtrusive service, including anticipating water and table needs, respecting guest conversations, and following the Server’s direction on course timing.
  • Basic food safety and sanitation awareness, including safe handling of service items and prompt communication of allergy-related requests to the Server.
  • Ability to follow detailed service instructions, maintain professional grooming and uniform standards, and demonstrate required support-service skills through training before independent duties.
  • Availability for evening, weekend, and holiday shifts, along with scheduled training.
  • Food Handler certification preferred.
  • Must be 18 years or older.

  • While performing the duties of this job, the team member is regularly required to walk and stand for 6+ hours per day.
  •  Additionally, they will frequently be asked to use their hands and arms to reach, carry, pull, and lift up  25 lbs.

  • While performing the duties of this job, the team member will experience temperature fluctuations (rain, wind, heat, humidity), and moderate to high noise levels.
