Overview

LAMUSE d’OR offers a French coastal dining experience at Kaiya Beach Resort in Inlet Beach, Florida. We are seeking knowledgeable, personable Bartenders to join our opening team and deliver carefully prepared drinks and warm, attentive hospitality.

As a Bartender, you will serve guests at the bar and prepare beverages for the dining room. Working alongside the Lead Bartender and service team, you will follow the established beverage program, maintain consistency, and keep the bar organized and ready for service.

Responsibilities

  • Welcome bar guests, explain the food and beverage menus, and recommend cocktails, wines, beers, and non-alcoholic drinks suited to their preferences.
  • Prepare and present drinks consistently using established recipes, measured pours, approved ingredients, glassware, and garnishes.
  • Manage bar guest orders and dining room beverage tickets efficiently, coordinating with Servers and Server Assistants and communicating delays promptly.
  • Take and enter bar food and beverage orders accurately in the POS. Confirm allergies and dietary restrictions and check modifications with the kitchen before promising them.
  • Provide wine presentation, opening, pouring, and appropriate decanting, maintaining knowledge of the wines offered by the bottle and glass.
  • Follow responsible alcohol-service procedures, check identification as required, monitor consumption, and involve management when service concerns arise.
  • Prepare garnishes and approved batches, maintain appropriate stock levels, and follow food safety, labeling, storage, sanitation, and cleaning procedures.
  • Coordinate the transfer of bar charges to dinner checks with the assigned Server, confirm accuracy, and process payments for guests settling at the bar.
  • Support stock counts and record breakage, waste, and shortages according to procedure. Communicate replenishment needs to the Lead Bartender.
  • Complete opening and closing duties, care for bar equipment, and participate in pre-opening training, tastings, and daily briefings.

Qualifications

  • Previous bartending experience in an upscale restaurant or hotel with a strong wine program.
  • Strong wine knowledge and confidence guiding guests through the wine list. Deeper knowledge of grape varieties and regions is preferred.
  • Confidence recommending wines by the glass and bottle to suit guests’ tastes and budgets and support wine sales.
  • Polished wine presentation, opening, pouring, and decanting skills; knowledge of storage, serving temperatures, and preservation.
  • Clear guest communication, accurate POS and payment handling, and a reliable, professional approach to teamwork.
  • Strong knowledge of classic cocktails, spirits, and cocktail preparation, along with sound beer knowledge and the ability to follow recipes consistently.
  • Willingness to deepen wine knowledge through tastings and complete required food safety and responsible beverage-service training.
  • Availability for evening, weekend, and holiday shifts, along with scheduled training.
  • Food Handler and Florida Alcohol Certification preferred.

  • While performing the duties of this job, the team member is regularly required to walk and stand for 6+ hours per day.
  •  Additionally, they will frequently be asked to use their hands and arms to reach, carry, pull, and lift up  25 lbs.

  • While performing the duties of this job, the team member will experience temperature fluctuations (rain, wind, heat, humidity), and moderate to high noise levels.
