This position will plan, prep, set up, and provide quality service in all areas of food production for menu items and specials in the designated outlets, in accordance with standards and plating guide specifications.
Works efficiently and effectively to gather, wash, cut, season, cook, and store quality ingredients.
Prepare basic food items in kitchen and handle all production tasks in a timely manner.
Performs a variety of butchering tasks, such as trimming and cutting.
Support all other cooks in their preparation tasks.
Assist Sous Chefs in maintaining order and dealing with unexpected situations.
Be able to withstand large workload under high heat.
Maintain a clean and safe work area adhering to food safety and health standards.
Handles and cleans kitchen equipment carefully and safely to prevent damage or injury.
Perform other kitchen duties as required.
A minimum formal education of a high school diploma.
Excellent customer service focus and communication skills.
Ability to interpret/extract information and/or perform arithmetic functions.
Ability to work under pressure and take initiative in a fast paced environment.
Good working knowledge of kitchen systems and good knife skills are a must.
