Overview

Bartenders, or Mixologists, mix and serve alcoholic beverages based on customer requests. You will use your mixologist talent to prepare and serve great alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages for each guest, every time, all while enjoying the fun that each guest brings.  While mixing and creating, the bartender is responsible for ensuring that all state, federal and property-specific policies, and procedures are upheld.

Responsibilities

  • Verify identification and age requirements of customers
  • Embrace service with a story by creating and serving both distinctive and traditional alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages for guests.
  • Share your personal passions and knowledge of the food, services, and amenities available to guests to help them feel at home
  • Orchestrate an extraordinary guest experience by providing a fun and positive environment
  • Be an advocate of our menu offering, receive food orders at the bar, and ensure accuracy before guest delivery
  • Process payment from customers
  • Clean glasses and bar utensils
  • Make suggestions based on customer tastes and preferences
  • Record and balance cash receipts and prepare cash deposits
  • Open and maintain tabs throughout their shift
  • Build a rapport with regular customers to create a positive atmosphere.

Qualifications

  • Two years of previous experience providing customer service preferably in a similar setting with a working knowledge of Spirits, Wine, Beer, and Foodservice
  • Knowledge of applicable laws and regulations. Alcohol service and Food Handler certifications are required. 
  • Familiarity with restaurant terminology and food service techniques preferred
  • Knowledge of mixology for traditional and creative cocktails
  • Understanding of unique and complementary flavor pairings
  • Impeccable customer service and social perceptiveness
  • Ability to evaluate customer satisfaction and responsiveness 
  • Ability to enforce company policies regarding the consumption of alcohol
  • Accountability in maintaining inventory and processing payments
  • Must be able to work varied shifts, including Weekday Evenings, weekends, and holidays. 
  • A qualified applicant is a “people person” who is flexible with their schedule, loves to serve others, and knows how to multi-task while ensuring accuracy.

 

Working Environment/Physical Demands:

 

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by a team member to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. 

  • While performing the duties of this job, the team member is regularly required to walk, and stand, 6-8 hours per day, and may have exposure to basic cleaning supply chemicals.
  • The team member is occasionally required to climb and use balance. Additionally, they will frequently be asked to use their hands and arms to reach, carry, pull, and lift up to 25 lbs.  Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and peripheral vision. 
  • While performing the duties of this job, the team member will experience temperature fluctuations (heat, humidity), and moderate to high noise levels.
