Overview

This position is responsible for cleanliness, supply, dry food stocking, and food replenishment of the hotel cafeteria. The Cafeteria Attendant is also responsible for cashiering and/or monitoring of meal tickets.

Responsibilities

  • Professionally and effectively communicate with all team members.
  • Consistently practice safe and sanitary food handling techniques.
  • Maintain workstation, equipment, and dining room standards of safety and cleanliness.
  • Responsibly handle cash and apply basic math skills.

Qualifications

  • Able to work flexible hours and days.
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time.
  • Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, food products, and food service equipment.
  • Previous experience maintaining professional and respectful work relationships.

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to walk, talk, see, and hear. Must be capable of walking or standing 90% or more of a normal 8 hour work shift. Must be capable of frequently carrying, lifting. pushing or pulling up to 30lbs. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perceptions and the ability to adjust focus.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be exposed to an indoor working environment and the noise level in the work place is usually moderate.

  • Typical equipment used include but are not limited to wood/gas smokers and kitchen appliances

Salary range: $19 - $23/hr.
