We are looking for a skilled enthusiastic Bartender/Server to be part of a great team. If you are passionate about providing exceptional customer service, have a strong knowledge of food and beverages, and enjoy working in a dynamic fast-paced environment, then the Bistro|Bar at the Couryard Residence Inn Lake Nona is the place for you.

• Prepare alcohol or non-alcohol beverages for bar and restaurant patrons
• Interact with customers, take orders
• Cook food as ordered.
• Handle any special requests of diners in a positive manner.

• Visually inspect all food sent from the kitchen.
• Prepare food line daily according to the menu
• Assess customers’ needs and preferences and make recommendations

• Mix ingredients to prepare cocktails
• Stay guest focused and nurture an excellent guest experience
• Comply with all food and beverage regulations

• Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including proper food handling and sanitation practices
• Maintain a clean and organized bar area, including restocking supplies and cleaning glasses and utensils
• Assist in prep work of vegetables and condiments as required for the next shift Return all food items not used to designated storage areas, being sure to cover/date all perishables
• Perform correct food handling and food storage procedures according to federal, state and local regulations

Skills

• Previous and proven working experience as a bartender/server
• Excellent knowledge of mixing, garnishing and serving food and drinks
• Knowledge of a second language is a plus
• Positive attitude and excellent communication skills
• Ability to keep the bar organized, stocked and clean

• Strong customer service skills with the ability to interact effectively with diverse customers
• Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
• Basic knowledge of food handling safety procedures
• Cash handling experience is required
