Overview

The successful candidate will play an integral part in the success of each hotel's Revenue Management strategy. The position will be responsible for the preparation of revenue reports, implementation of daily strategies including pricing and inventory management, weekly and monthly forecasts, and assisting the Area Director of Revenue Strategy, GMs, and Sales Leadership team in executing the hotel's yield strategies at each hotel. In addition, this role will be required to review and analyze reports such as STAR, Demand360, Business Intelligence and Analytics, and other measurement tools as well as present revenue opportunities for the hotel.

Responsibilities

  • Accurate preparation and distribution of daily, weekly, and monthly revenue reports. The reports include market segmentation analysis, production reports, PACE reports, source contribution analysis, daily pick-up reports, etc.
  • Responsible for Rate, Promotion, and Package loading, and relevant distribution to operating departments.
  • Manage OTA, rates, inventory, yield controls, and content parity.
  • Manage Expedia Travel Ads, bids, and funding. Identify and present revenue opportunities
  • Perform audits and maintenance on all systems such as PMS, CRS, RMS, BI, and Sales & Catering Systems to ensure content and information are correct.
  • Maintain rate parity among all sites.
  • Monitor full-year pickup for risks/opportunity in strategies.
  • Prepare Revenue Management Report information for all related meetings.
  • Lead weekly revenue management meetings.
  • Assist in Forecasting and Budget planning as needed.
  • Facilitate the group block management process as determined in concert with the ADORS and Sales Leaders to ensure contracted blocks are being maintained, forecasted, yielded, and released at appropriate times.
  • Complete ongoing detailed reservations evaluation including conversion, ACD reports, regrets/denials, and call volumes.
  • Maintain same-day sellout strategies including rates and channel distribution.
  • Monitor and analyze the competition daily / weekly through shop reports to identify selling strategies and market trends.
  • Review and analyze reports and other measurement tools, and present revenue opportunities.
  • Prepare 21 Day Forecast for distribution to the Management team so proper staffing levels are achieved.
  • Complete competitive pricing checks, including packages and promotions.
  • As appropriate, attend hotel meetings and training.
  • Complete displacement analysis as needed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, hotel management or business administration required.
  • Must have a minimum of 3+ years of Marriott Hotel experience.
  • Comprehensive understanding of demand evaluation and effective pricing.
  • Ability to evaluate and execute a results-driven action plan.
  • Highly proficient in Excel and PowerPoint, and generally a strong technical aptitude.
  • Minimum of 4 years’ experience in Hospitality.
  • Must have a strong working knowledge of Marriott systems including One Yield, HPP, Marsha, MAR RFP, and Fosse, plus other systems/tools such as STR, TravelClick, BI, OTA Extranets, etc.
  • Analytical approach to problem-solving.
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities under time constraints and extremely detail oriented.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Exceptional with details and follow-up.
  • Ability to learn new systems quickly.
  • Is a proactive, self-starter who can work well both independently and as part of a team.
  • Some travel is required a few times per year.
  • This position is onsite.  Remote work is not an option.
