Overview

As a Cook II, you'll use your previous kitchen experience to prepare food according to the restaurants standards. Maintaing the stock, set-up, and cleanliness of the line, you'll ensure that every order is fulfilled to patron's expectations. With your expanding culinary knowledge, you'll be looked to assist with other stations as directed. The Line Cook II will always conduct themself in a professional manner with a demeanor that supports the purpose and values (supporting behaviors) at Suncadia. 

 

Salary: $23.00 per hour

Responsibilities

  • Communicate with executive chef or supervisor daily about operations; 
  • Assist with ordering and maintaining par levels;  
  • Maintain and stock the set-up of the line; 
  • Prepare food according to restaurant quality standards;  
  • Follow all appropriate policies and procedures while constantly striving to improve all standards of operation; 
  • Maintain professional guest relations; 
  • Set up, restock, maintain, and clean food preparation line; 
  • Prepare food as ordered and according to Suncadia standards; 
  • Coordinate all orders between stations and food service personnel; 
  • Monitor food quality and rotation; 
  • Assist with other stations as directed; 
  • Maintain cleanliness of work area; 
  • Maintain resort kitchen equipment; 
  • Prepare food in accordance with pre-established preparation times; 
  • Prepare food in accordance with working menus, recipe cards, and photograph standards; 
  • Display understanding of sanitary food handling techniques; 
  • Display knowledge of safe operation of kitchen equipment; 
  • Display understanding of Suncadia appearance standards; 
  • Attend all mandatory meetings; 
  • Complete other duties as assigned by supervisor, to include cross training. 

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred. 
  • 2+ years previous food preparation experience;  
  • Basic Knife Skills; 
  • Ability to work well with others; 
  • Able to communicate well with staff and customer; 
  • Active Food Handler’s permit or ability to obtain one; 
  • Ability to read and communicate through written menu requirements. 
  • Must be a United States citizen or possess a valid work permit; 
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule that will include evenings, weekends and holidays;  
  • Ability to work well with others and function well in a fast paced environment.
