The Marina Driver is responsible for providing a safe and fun experience for all guests using the marina facilities. They will work with the marina team to load and unload equipment, as well as assist guests in and out of boats. The Marina Driver is responsible for the safe transport of guest during their marina visit. They will assist in maintaining the AAA Four Diamond Standards.

 

The Marina Driver will always conduct them self in manner which supports the Core Values of Sunriver Resort: Trust, Commitment, and Open and Honest Communication. They shall strive to provide exceptional service to both internal and external guests at all times and for exemplifying the Sunriver Resort Culture as well as promoting Sunriver Resort as both the Destination and Employer of Choice!

Responsibilities

  • Interacts with guests in a friendly and professional manner
  • Assists with overall direction and coordination of guest marina tours
  • Informs guests of safe handling of boats
  • Assists with getting guests in and out of boats
  • Assists with teaching of marina lessons/programs
  • With assistance, lifts boats in and out of water
  • Maintains a clean, safe and secure environment
  • Picks-up guests and their belongings from take-out point and safely transports them back to marina
  • Assists with lifting boats onto trailer at pick-up point
  • Promotes the sale of rentals, marina lessons/programs, food & beverages, fishing poles packages and merchandise
  • Maintains a strong knowledge of marina surroundings and trip options
  • Up sells other resort services and amenities to guests
  • Provides general resort information to guests
  • Maintains the cleanliness and organization of Marina vehicles as well as reporting any safety or maintenance issues.
  • Interacts with resort staff in a professional manner, assisting other departments with necessary information
  • Attends department and resort meetings as required
  • Always maintains a professional demeanor and attitude
  • Communicates all pertinent information to the marina/recreation team

Qualifications

  • High school education preferred
  • One year of customer service experience required
  • Prior hospitality experience preferred
  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Must have valid Oregon drivers license and meet resort driving standards
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule that may include evenings, weekends and holidays
  • Must be able to wade into cold water on occasion
  • Must be able to frequently  lift, push, pull & carry up to 50 lbs alone, and up to 80 lbs with help, including some lifting above shoulder height
