Overview

Lake Nona Hotels is seeking a magnetic, polished, and dynamic Sales leader steeped in relationship development and experience in all sales functions within hospitality sales. This role requires the tireless pursuit of the right customer as determined by the market and organization. Having an established account base with existing relationships and the ability to curate the targeted customer is the key to success. Strength in negotiating contracts and creating solutions for clients and member hotels is a top quality of this candidate.


An accomplished self-starter, the role will be largely client facing seeking out new connections for Lake Nona Hotels and actively generating leads for the hotel sales managers to convert. Some assistance in conversion may also be required.


The ideal Senior Area Sales Manager will be a master communicator and storyteller with the ability to bring the destination to life through polished presenting, customized and compelling presentations, elevated prose and engaged conversation with future customers. They will be adept at pivoting from a luxury audience to a budget driven audience appropriately. They will be responsible for managing and servicing customers in all group segments for Lake Nona Hotel’s portfolio; Lake Nona Wave Hotel, Aloft Orlando Lake Nona, Courtyard/Residence Inn Lake Nona, Springhill Suites Lake Nona.

Responsibilities

• Developing, managing, and servicing clients, including direct corporate relationships and 3rd party relationships with agents of corporations, associations and other organizations, and association management companies.
• Developing and maintaining effective relationships with the hotels’ sales team and leadership.
• Providing weekly activity reports for review with leadership.
• Managing the flow of proposals and leads through all reporting systems and channels.
• Managing a travel budget.
• Designing, organizing, and managing events during the year.
• Participating in other sales and marketing efforts to develop and build the Company’s business.
• Flexibility to adapt to the changing and evolving needs of the organization and as the market will indicate.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree preferred in hospitality, sales & marketing, or business administration.
  • 10+ years of Hospitality Group Sales experience required.
  • Proven track record negotiating contracts and closing sales.
  • Experience and working knowledge of CRM systems.
  • Demonstrable track record of over-achieving quota.
  • Excellent relationships in the hotel/hospitality industry.
  • Excellent relationships in the meetings and events industry.
  • Excellent relationships in the corporate, association, incentive, and other markets.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Adept at managing a robust travel schedule with the ability to make and expense all reservations and travel spend.
