Overview

The Resort Manager will directly support the General Manager to help lead a dedicated team to provide an exceptional guest experience. The Resort Manager role requires an operational background in Food and Beverage and hospitality. The position has active participation in the profit maximization, guest satisfaction, revenue, and operational effectiveness of Tamarack Resort. The Resort Manager analyzes financial and operating information to achieve budgeted labor, supplies, materials, and other cost standards. The Resort Manager possesses strong working knowledge of all areas of the hotel, has experience making critical decisions with a proven track record of managing, motivating, and leading a full-service hotel team.

Responsibilities

  • Overseeing personnel and operations including: Food and Beverage, Spa, Golf, Retail, and Marina
  • Monitor and track guest feedback and reviews in relation to the property's goals and provide feedback to leadership and support to department managers and their teams as appropriate
  • Ensure timely guest responses and implementation of corrective actions as required by guest correspondence, comments, alerts, and other measures
  • Monitoring employee performance and conducting regular evaluations to help improve customer service
  • Involvement with collecting payments and maintaining records of budgets, funds, and expenses
  • Resolving issues regarding resort services, amenities, and policies
  • Organizing activities and assigning responsibilities to team members to ensure productivity
  • Coordinating with external parties, including suppliers, travel agencies, and conference planners
  • Evaluating hotel performance and ensuring compliance with health and safety rules
  • Partaking in strategy and development of Resort
  • Resolving any guest, associate, or homeowner concerns as they arise with a high degree of professionalism and to work with our team to maintain an exceptional level of customer service while also meeting budgetary and operational goals
  • Ensure the highest degree of quality guest service is maintained at all times through prompt and courteous care
  • Achieve or exceed previous service scores and internet rankings
  • Implement and maintain an effective open-door communication system that encourages feedback and interaction between all departments
  • Recruit, train, coach, and counsel managers and team members, following company, state, and federal regulations
  • Assist General Manager with establishing and maintaining applicable preventive maintenance programs to protect the physical assets of the hotel

Qualifications

To excel in this role, you must be approachable and detailed-oriented with proven hospitality or management work experience. Our ideal candidate will also demonstrate excellent communication skills and has the ability to spearhead organizational culture. This leader will be focused on maintaining excellent service scores for all survey systems and ensures staff is delivering great service at all times. They must have impeccable follow-up skills and be able to provide feedback as needed to further guest service and improvement.  They will be expected to uphold and support all hotel cleanliness standards at appropriate quality levels as determined by CoralTree Hospitality.

  • Bachelor’s degree in hospitality, business administration, or a relevant field
  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience as a director of food and beverage or a similar role
  • Strong understanding of hotel management best practices and data entry software
  • Outstanding interpersonal communication and customer service skills
  • Exceptional leadership abilities with great attention to detail
  • A strong cultural ambassador
