The Mechanic shall always strive to provide exceptional service to both internal/external guests and team members. They will be responsible for exemplifying the Suncadia Resort Culture as well as promoting Suncadia Resort as both the Destination and Employer of Choice!

• Support lead turf equipment technician on all turf related maintenance
• Inspect, diagnose, repair and maintain all pieces of turf equipment fleet;
• Inspect, diagnose and repair (within reason) all Suncadia fleet vehicles;
• Organize and facilitate repair/service appointments with fellow departments & vendors
• Design preventative maintenance programs and keep appropriate records for turf & fleet vehicles
• Maintain a clean, safe, well organized shop and work area;
• Meticulous daily reel maintenance for greens, tees, fairways and roughs;
• Work closely and effectively communicate with Superintendent on daily maintenance schedule
• and equipment needs;
• Manage monthly equipment repairs budget and keep appropriate parts inventory.

• High school education or equivalent;
• Minimum of two years appropriate schooling, training or experience;
• Strong background in hydraulic systems, electronics, welding, and gas / diesel engines;
• Must have required tools of the trade;
• Excellent communication skills;
• Ability to work independently and be a self starter;
• Excellent previous safety record and ability to work proactively on all safety issues.
• Ability to communicate in English both verbal and non-verbal;
• Maintain utmost in professionalism in appearance and conflict resolution with staff members and guests;
• Strong people management skills with the ability to lead and motivate;
• Must have the ability to follow oral and written instructions and work independently and cooperatively;
• Current valid drivers license;
• Ability to work flexible hours and days (to include weekends, holidays, and early mornings);
• Interest and knowledge in the game of golf is preferred.
• Work outside in a variety of weather conditions.
