Job Summary:

 

The Senior General Ledger Accountant will be based in Denver and have responsibility overseeing the preparation and reconciliation of Balance Sheet for the Vail and Snowmass locations. This role will also provide month end support to the Director of Finance as needed.

Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Preparation of balance sheet reconciliations and facilitate the timely resolution of reconciling items
  • Provide assistance to the Director of Finance in the preparation of financial statements.
  • In conjunction with the Director of Finance, budget preparation and presentation.
  • Fosters a team environment with a focus on teamwork, personal and professional development, and autonomy.

Qualifications

Preferred and Required Skills and Experience

  • 4-year accounting degree or comparable industry experience.
  • Multiple years of experience in balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Experience in hospitality finance is preferred.
  • Excellent English verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously, with little direction and oversight.
  • Ability to work remotely as desired and in a collaborative office environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a solution-focused attitude.
  • Comfortable working for an organization in a growth phase with the ability to be nimble and flexible with changing business needs.
  • Passion for growth and change and an entrepreneurial approach to work.
  • Helpful attitude and the ability to “speak to your audience”.
  • Ability to properly handle confidential and sensitive information.
  • Ability to motivate others and lead with the utmost moral and ethical judgement.
  • Excellent computer skills with experience using Microsoft Office.
