Overview

Are you ready to help shape the future of travel and hospitality? CoralTree is seeking a Regional Vice President (RVP) of Finance to join our dynamic team. The RVP of Finance will lead and support the Finance and Accounting functions of a portfolio of assigned hotel properties while acting as a strategic business partner to Property Executive Committee Members and other Regional Team Members, and will be a key member of the CoralTree Hospitality Finance Leadership team. This position is responsible for optimizing asset value for the assigned portfolio while ensuring that internal controls are in place, risk at the properties is mitigated and financial reporting is accurate and timely. The ideal candidate will have experience with complicated hotel and resort assets, including food and beverage, spa, golf, etc. This person will be adept at building a strong financial team, including recruiting and coaching, and be a cultural ambassador and strategic thinker. Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive and detailed financial reviews across our portfolio of hotels, encompassing monthly financial operating statements, cash flow reports, monthly forecasts, balance sheets, and capital budget expenditures.
  • Dive deep into the data to uncover variances and trends, transforming insights into actionable strategies.
  • Ensure the accuracy and timeliness of all financial statements, swiftly alerting CoralTree Operations and Finance leaders to significant variances from budget, forecast, and internal control standards.
  • Champion process improvements alongside property Executive Teams to enhance expense management and drive optimal profit flow through.
  • Implement innovative financial strategies that maximize value across the portfolio, continuously seeking opportunities for improvement.
  • Lead, train, and mentor CoralTree property Directors of Finance, fostering a culture of excellence in fiscal management, reporting, and analysis.
  • Collaborate with Property Executive Committee Members to streamline budgeting and forecasting processes, ensuring deadlines are met and forecasting accuracy targets are achieved.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with property owners and lenders, ensuring responsiveness and compliance with all required reporting.
  • Act as a direct resource for owners and lenders, attending owner meetings as necessary to address questions and provide insights.
  • Ensure compliance with debt and lease requirements, safeguarding the financial integrity of our properties.

Qualifications

  • Minimum requirement Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance. MBA, CPA preferred.
  • 5+ years minimum multi property experience in a decentralized independent hotel environment.
  • 10 years minimum previous on-site property Director of Finance experience in full-service properties or other relevant Financial leadership experience.
  • Experience with Oracle ERP and report writing software and/or other ERP systems.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Excel and experienced with complicated financial models.
  • Experience with complicated assets, including food and beverage, spa, and golf (experience with memberships, condos, and Home Owner Associations a plus).
  • Superb team management and coaching skills, and a drive for continuous improvement.
  • Demonstrates a sense of urgency and commitment in regard to deliverables and deadlines.
  • Highly responsive to owners, guests and employees.
  • Moderate to High travel required.

 

Preferred work location: Englewood, CO Home Office

Salary range: $150,000 - $170,000/yr. + bonus
