South Florida’s beacon of hospitality, Pier Sixty-Six Resort is returning to Fort Lauderdale with an opening date of October 2024. From the famed superyacht marina to the iconic spires of the rotating Pier-Top lounge, a new world of elevated experiences is set to unfold around it. The lush 32-acre waterfront enclave will be home to the extraordinary luxury resort hosting 325 guest rooms, suites, and villas, plus an exclusive collection of 91 Private Resort Residences, 12 restaurants and lounges, a luxurious spa, curated pool options, and a waterfront promenade with retail and dining. We currently have an opportunity for a well-rounded and seasoned Overnight Resort Manager to join our Pier Sixty-Six Resort opening team!

 

Reporting to the Director of Front Office, the Overnight Resort Manager will assist with the management of all aspects of the Front Office functions in accordance with Pier Sixty-Six standards, AAA, and Forbes Travel Guide Standards.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee & support all overnight operational aspects of the resort including Front Desk/ Guest Services, Housekeeping, Maintenance, In-Room Dining, and Security.
  • Conduct overnight stand-up meetings.
  • Monitor and maintain high service quality, cleanliness, and safety standards.
  • Foster a positive work environment and promote teamwork among staff members.
  • Maintain consistent open lines of communication with overnight team members & contractors.
  • Directly oversee & support night auditors. Conduct a nightly audit checklist of the hotel's financial transactions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with hotel policies.
  • Review & prepare for next-day arrivals including VIPs. Responsible for room assignments, amenity request forms & communication of all guests-related information.
  • Perform regular resort walks and checks of resort facilities.
  • Respond to emergencies or incidents promptly and appropriately, following hotel standard operating procedures.
  • Ensure all guest requests, inquiries & concerns are responded to in a professional & timely manner.
  • Properly communicate all team member-related concerns.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of one year of supervisory experience in a high-volume setting is preferred.
  • Previous hospitality experience in a Five Star, Five Diamond quality organization preferred.
  • Previous experience with Windows, Office, and property management systems is highly desirable.
  • Must be able to understand, speak, read, and write in the basic English language.
  • Ability to effectively communicate and provide directions in a clear, concise, and professional manner, both verbally and in writing.
  • Demonstrate ability to compute basic arithmetic.
  • Must be available to work varied shifts and flexible schedules.
