Hotel Polaris is seeking an exceptional Bell Service Agent to join our team and play a vital role in shaping the success of Hotel Polaris, an instant icon on the hospitality landscape of Colorado Springs. Your efforts significantly influence the unique and distinctive experiences we seek to deliver to our guests and team members alike. Responsibilities

  • Greet and welcomes guests upon arrival and departure including use of guest name & good eye contact with each guest.
  • Anticipate guests needs, respond promptly and acknowledge all guests, however busy and whatever time of day.
  • Keep record of all arriving/departing and in-house guests.
  • Be knowledgeable of all tours/groups.
  • Maintain records for all VIPs, special requests, etc.
  • Maintain an up to date working knowledge of all resort amenities as well as any special events.
  • Provide accurate directions and resort information for guests.
  • Maintain upkeep of all desk resources, including refilling brochure rack, making copies of flyers when low and keeping desk organized and immaculate.
  • Arrange bell service for guests.
  • Schedule travel arrangements for guests.
  • Assist with luggage storage and retrieval.
  • Open car doors for guests.
  • Maintain knowledge of valet parking lot flow.
  • Perform special deliveries or errands for guests.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED or two to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience).
  • Prior hospitality experience preferred.
  • At least one year customer service experience preferred.
  • Ability to work independently with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Enjoy interacting with people and multi-tasking at a fast pace while ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
  • Must be able to read, write and speak English.
  • Must have strong computer skills and working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule that may include evenings, weekends and holidays.

 

Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to stand on feet throughout the shift, with intermittent periods of walking.
  • Must be able to lift, carry, push & pull up to 50 lbs. 
  • Must be able to perform simple grasping, fine manipulation, and repetitive hand & arm movements frequently, and squeezing & overhead reaching occasionally. 
  • Must be able to work in a variety of weather conditions (rain, wind, snow, heat).
  • Must be able to climb stairs both indoors and outside in a variety of weather conditions (rain, wind, snow, heat).
