Overview

The Director of Group Sales is responsible for the day-to-day supervision of the Group Sales team, including Sales Managers and Sales Administrative support staff. This position focuses on achieving overall group sales revenue targets, managing a select portfolio of key accounts, and ensuring growth in group production. The Director of Group Sales will work closely with the Director of Sales and the Director of Revenue Strategy and Optimization to align group sales efforts with resort-wide revenue goals.

This position is a hybrid/remote opportunity for candidates living in Arizona, California, Idaho, Oklahoma, Oregon, Missouri, and Washington. Ideal candidate would be local to the Greater Seattle area or Washington State.

 

Annual Salary Range: $120,000 - $135,000

Responsibilities

  • Achieve overall group sales goals: Responsible for driving total group revenue, ensuring that the resort’s group business targets are met or exceeded through effective leadership and strategy implementation.
  • Manage key accounts: Develop and achieve individual sales goals by focusing on a select portfolio of key accounts to generate group business.
  • Lead daily business reviews to assess group sales opportunities and fiscal feasibility.
  • Conduct daily stand-ups and weekly sales meetings with the Group Sales team.
  • Facilitate annual business planning sessions with Sales Managers to set group sales goals that meet overall resort revenue expectations.
  • Oversee the hiring, evaluation, and training of the Group Sales team, ensuring alignment with resort policies and promoting team development.
  • Develop and implement sales and marketing orientation programs for new team members.
  • Monitor and administer the Group Sales incentive plan to drive team performance.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Revenue Strategy and Optimization to ensure group sales strategies are aligned with overall resort revenue targets and yield management.
  • Produce weekly and monthly reports on group sales performance as required.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications

  • College degree preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in hospitality or related field.
  • At least 2 years of experience in a group sales leadership role within hospitality.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Flexible with work hours and available for travel as needed.
  • Proficient on Microsoft Office Products and Delphi Software.
  • Capable of working in a high-stress, deadline-oriented environment.
  • Must have or be willing to obtain a valid Washington State Driver’s License within 60 days of employment.
