We currently have an opportunity for a well-rounded and seasoned In Room Dining Coordinator to join our Pier Sixty-Six Resort opening team! You will be an integral member of the team that creates distinctively different and authentic experiences for our guests. You will be responsible for greeting guests, taking orders, serve food and beverages, and checking on guest satisfaction. You will use the freedom to go beyond to turn guest interactions into moments of magic.

 

Reporting to the Food & Beverage management team, as a In Room Dining Coordinator, you will play a pivotal role in delivering unparalleled dining experiences to our esteemed guests. You will be responsible for coordinating all aspects of in-room dining services, ensuring seamless execution and exceeding guest expectations.

Responsibilities

  • Manage all aspects of in-room dining operations, including order taking, coordination with kitchen staff, and timely delivery to guest rooms.
  • Provide personalized service to guests, taking into account dietary restrictions, preferences, and special requests.
  • Coordinate with kitchen and service staff to ensure the highest standards of food quality, presentation, and timeliness.
  • Maintain thorough knowledge of the resort's menus, wine list, and special promotions to provide recommendations and upsell opportunities.
  • Handle guest inquiries, requests, and complaints with professionalism and efficiency, striving to resolve issues to the guest's satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with other departments, such as housekeeping and guest services, to ensure smooth communication and coordination of in-room dining services.
  • Monitor inventory levels of in-room dining supplies and place orders as needed to maintain sufficient stock levels.
  • Uphold cleanliness and hygiene standards in all in-room dining areas, including tray setups, service carts, and guest corridors.
  • Adhere to all resort policies and procedures, including safety protocols and food handling guidelines, to maintain a safe and secure environment for guests and staff.

Additional Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Adhere to departmental policies and procedures.
  • Effectively communicate with peers, management, line and front of the house employees
  • Practice effective listening: (seek to understand)
  • Perform related duties as required.
  • Be responsible for the cleanliness of the immediate work area as well as the general property.
  • Be familiar with all Hotel services/features and local attractions/activities to respond to guest inquiries accurately.
  • Maintain complete knowledge of all department food and beverage offerings.
  • All side-work thoroughly done in a timely fashion.
  • Checks are closed out in ten minutes or less after the guests have paid.
  • Guest’s name, table number and room number are put on all checks, with the appropriate guest count.
  • Participate in ongoing training and encourage the personal development of all associates/coworkers.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a similar role within a luxury hotel or resort environment is highly desirable.
  • Exceptional customer service skills with a genuine passion for exceeding guest expectations.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact confidently with guests and colleagues at all levels.
  • Detail-oriented approach with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of food and beverage operations, including menu items, wine pairing, and service techniques.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays, based on business needs.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certification in hospitality management is a plus.
