We currently have an opportunity for a well-rounded and seasoned Overnight In Room Dining Server to join our Pier Sixty-Six Resort opening team! You will be an integral member of the team that creates distinctively different and authentic experiences for our guests. You will be responsible for greeting guests, taking orders, serve food and beverages, and checking on guest satisfaction. You will use the freedom to go beyond to turn guest interactions into moments of magic.

 

Reporting to the Food & Beverage Management team, you will support and provide an excellent service to all hotel guests, residents, and members.

Responsibilities

  • Serve food courses and alcoholic beverages to guests.
  • Provide exceptional and personalized service to guests staying at the resort, ensuring their dining experience exceeds expectations.
  • Liaise effectively with kitchen staff to ensure orders are prepared correctly and delivered to guests in a timely manner, maintaining high standards of quality and presentation.
  • Process guest payments accurately and efficiently, including cash transactions, credit card payments, and room charges, following resort policies and procedures
  • Safely transport orders to guest rooms, navigating the resort layout efficiently and delivering orders courteously and professionally.
  • Demonstrate thorough knowledge of the menu offerings, including ingredients, preparation methods, and allergen information, to assist guests in making informed choices.
  • Carefully set up trays or carts with ordered items, garnishes, condiments, and utensils, ensuring each delivery is visually appealing and well-organized.
  • Anticipate and address guests` service needs.
  • Speak with others using clear and professional language.
  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others and support your team to reach common goals.
  • Ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards.
  • Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 10 pounds without assistance.
  • Thank guests with genuine appreciation.
  • Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors.
  • Effectively communicate with peers, management, line and front of the house employees
  • Practice effective listening: (seek to understand)
  • Perform related duties as required.
  • Be responsible for the cleanliness of the immediate work area and the general property.
  • Maintain complete knowledge of all liquor brands, beers and non-alcoholic selections, correct glassware and garnishes within the outlet.
  • All side-work thoroughly done in a timely fashion.
  • Checks are closed out in ten minutes or less after the guests have paid.
  • Guest’s name, table number and room number are put on all checks, with the appropriate guest count.
  • Participate in ongoing training and encourage the personal development of all associates/coworkers.

Qualifications

  • Ability to work overnight shifts.
  • Be a people person that thrive to create experiences for our guests that go beyond the expected.
  • Ability to communicate fluently in English both verbally and through legible writing, always in a professional way toward guests and associates.
  • High School Diploma, GED or some College experience or Degree recommended.
  • Must be TIPS certified or become certified within 30 days of hire.
  • Must have a current Food Handlers card.
  • Previous similar experience in a professional setting is preferred.
